Boasting a shared lounge and views of quiet street, The Mansion on 17th, formerly Schaefer Haus is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Galveston, 1.6 km from Seawall Urban Park. Housed in a building dating from 19th century, this bed and breakfast is 2.5 km from Pleasure Pier and 9.3 km from Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark. The accommodation features a housekeeping service and private check-in and check-out for guests. This is the most wonderful property - steeped in history and oh-so-comfortable and luxurious. Rick (owner) and Tammy (host) were so welcoming and friendly. Tammy made us wonderful (complimentary) afternoon cocktails and Rick made us exceptionally delicious breakfasts (his French toast is the best I’ve ever tasted). The house is in a neighbourhood of gorgeous historic mansions, each a story in themselves. We cannot recommend Schaefer Haus enough.

Things to do were within 10 to 15 min away. I loved that breakfast was served at 9, plus it was awesomely good food!Dana's eggs are the best!! The savanna house we stayed in was perfect for our getaway weekend. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend them.

A coffee maker, microwave and compact refrigerator are among the room amenities featured at Regency Inn. This is a fantastic place to stay. The staff was super helpful and kind. The rooms were beautiful and completely clean and far exceeded any expectations I had had, and it was a delight staying here. Outdoors a beautiful little garden was almost finished, and it was a delight resting in the area there. Despite a little finish still lacking here in early spring, it was already gorgeous. We stayed at Regency Inn for the Eclipse viewing, and had an absolutely wonderful time. If you're looking to stay in the area I would definitely recommend staying here.

Exceptional stay! We stopped here on our drive north, and it has been a highlight of our trip. The property is in an excellent location in today and has all the amenities needed plus more. S’mores by the fire with a glass of wine was a delight. Hospitality was top notch! Breakfast was wonderful, best scrambled eggs! Would have loved to have stayed longer.
