Ana helped with planning my hikes and organizing a guide. It's not too long a walk to Paul to catch the aluguers though it's important to keep in mind the island is huge and it takes time and money to get around. I regretted moving to another area b/c I really loved my stay here.

Pombas is a great location to stay in the beautiful Paul Valley to do hikes during the day and to enjoy a lovely dinner in town or at the host's place! We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the daily variety in breakfast every day and the interaction with our host. Not only could he advice about the hikes you could do, but he also told us about life in Santo Antao.

We stayed in the seaside view studio and the view was really fantastic, plus we could see the sunset straight from our sofa ! The studio overall was very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, very clean. Really kind staff, Guillaume (the owner) was also there and shared with us a lot of great hike suggestions! Breakfast was simple, but more than enough for us, very very tasty and home made.
