Issie at reception is LOVELY. Kind, welcoming, and helpful. I was exhausted when I arrived, so greatly appreciated her kindness!

With mountain views, Benger Garden Chalets is located in Millers Flat and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Most comfortable sleep since leaving home. Super supportive but not hard beds . Real quilt not poly, giving warmth and weight. Chalet is fitted for wheelchair access, so bathroom was a spacious well fitted room with a curtained shower area, good water pressure. Whole property was spotlessly clean. Fitted with smaĺl kitchenette which we didn't use, so can't comment on it. Welcoming hosts. Breakfast included in the Cafe next door meant full choice from menu and real coffee. Parking right at door.

The spacious chalet with a balcony and mountain views features 1 bedroom, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. A private entrance leads guests into the chalet, where they can enjoy some fruits and chocolates or cookies. The accommodation is non-smoking. Plenty of space, good location and not too far from local restaurants. The breakfast food and drinks were a plus. We loved feeding the animals.

Hideaway - A Couples Retreat is situated in Akaroa and offers a terrace. This cottage has a garden and free private parking.

The cottage has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a patio with garden views. Host was excellent Lynn made sure we got to the prperty okay. Cottage a hidden gem, a nice romantic getaway. Location peaceful and handy walking distance to Akaroa. FIre was a nice treat and the cottage was warm and cosy.

From the location and friendly staff to the clean and spacious room and complimentary breakfast, the hotel exceeded our expections. Would 100% recommend and come back if we visit NZ again.
