The A/C worked very well and the pool was clean and very nice to hang out in. The host is so sweet and his kids are adorable. He went out of his way to accommodate us and we couldn’t say better things! There is also a lovely view from the pool and some of the rooms. Recommend it!

Continental and Vietnamese breakfast are available each morning at the property. We loved everything about our week-long stay at Lan Homestay. The location was perfect for us to explore the village on a scooter/motorbike (which they have available for rent). It's in a quiet neighborhood on a hill, which is located in hidden valley. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowering plants, and jackfruit trees that make the property feel like an eco-resort. The staff works tirelessly to keep everything in perfect condition - everyone seemed to be working around the clock. The included breakfast was very good — with a choice of a beverage and a choice of food and always served with a plate of fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a couple of other meals there and everything we ordered was delicious. Most of all our host, Mr. Chilly was everything you could ask for in a great host. He was super-friendly and assisted us with anything we needed from providing suggestions for things to do in Cat Ba to arranging travel for us back to our Hanoi . We would highly recommend Lan Homestay and will stay here again next time we come to Cat Ba.

Wooden-style rooms are air-conditioned and come with a flat-screen cable TV. Mountain and garden views can be enjoyed. A minibar and tea/coffee-making facilities are provided. Incredible spot, in the middle of the woods surrounded by nature. The cabin was facing the lake, if available, I would strongly recommend that option, it is worth the money. Staff was super helpful and nice. They booked everything for us at a very good price and provide guidance for the different trekkings. Swimingpool was great, clean and chill water, sun beds and also towels so you don’t need to bring yours from the bedroom.
