Everything was just fabulous! I was staying overnight for a wedding in the area, so this trip was a little short-sighted, Ferny Hill Retreat was close to the venue and easy to find. I wasn't too sure what to expect (not at all familiar with the location), but my host Carmel was full of suggestions of things to do, which I'm going to need a return visit to experience.
Located on a 10 acre property, nestled in the green rolling hills of Emerald, guests staying at this property are welcomed by a grand stone entrance and a tree-lined driveway.

The property was fantastic great views of countryside very comfortable beds. Unfortunately when we arrived back at accommodation at 11.20pm we found that there was no water on. I tried contacting the manager who did get back to me some time later. Luckily I located the problem under the house and reset the and turned on the water pump. Would have been nice if there was some instructions in the house if this problem occurred. Otherwise the House was perfect for our stay.

We were so grateful to be able to travel with our (diabetic) dog beyond the Melbourne environs for a wedding locally, and having such a serene and cosy little haven added real character to our weekend away. Gypsy was mesmerised by all the smells of the adjacent grounds, and getting to ‘meet’ one of the horses the next morning was the most beautiful way to end our stay.
Set in Gembrook in the Victoria Region, Signal Box Short Stay overlooks the famous Puffing Billy steam train. It offers stunning views over the mountains.
