The guest was really good. The room we had was a triple bedroom and deluxe triple bedroom. Both were spacious enough...one had 3 separate beds which was enough for 3 people and the other had one king size bed and a double bed, both adequate enough for four people in one room. Both had a mini fridge... Really good bathroom...Like really really good bathroom... Mini fridge. For the price it was really worth it.

I think tourists outside of Bulgaria should come prepared with all the information they need about the hikings and siteseeing in Kalofer. We had a bit of trouble managing as we relied on local tourist information center but could'nt find it.
Local people were extremely nice, but some didn't speak English.
The Balkan park is stunning but roads are rough if you're not in a high 4×4, and trails are lacking signs in English.

My best tips is DON'T TRUST the bus timetable located in the main square, or you'll have to wait hours. The town is small, quiet and pleasant and is a starting point for hikes to Rai Hut (Хижа Рай), Botev Peak (Ботев връх, 2376m) and a nice eco-trail along the White River. The four restaurants I tried were all excellent and cheap. As in every place I have seen in Bulgaria so far, all the roads just outside the town, as well as the river bed, are an endless sea of plastic trash. The railway station is 2km out of town, they say there are buses connecting the town center and the train station but I have never seen any, especially at the times written on the timetable.

Kalofer is a cozy small town, really close to the mountain!
Kalofer is a cozy small town, really close to the mountain! Perfect for mountain walks, picnics and nature exploring. There are two Bulgarian history museums in the centre for those who like history and museum exploring.
Kalofer is really close to two of the most famous mountain trails in Bulgaria - the path to mountain hut Rai and Botev peak. From here with a car you can reach the beginnings of every mountain trails in Central Balkan national park. During the walks we’ve saw many mountain moto bikers, so probably the route was good for that as well.
Very friendly staff. The food was delicious. The nice lady on the reception even prepared for us a dry breakfast package for the next day, because we were leaving early in the morning for a hiking. Calm and clean. Ideal as a starting point for Paradise hut (hizha Rai), the trail to Paradise Sprinkler (Raiskoto pryskalo) waterfall and Botev peak.
The parking is for free, but If you wish to leave your car in the hotel car park even after checking out, you only have to pay a small fee.
The house is great and spacious, it consists of four separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and a living room/kitchen. Each bedroom has its own electric heater and there is a fireplace in the living room. The house has everything one needs for a nice and relaxing stay. The check-in was smooth and the lady who welcomed us - very friendly. The location of the house is also fantastic. We'd definitely stay here again when traveling to Kalofer.
Very cozy and calm place with a nice garden and friendly staff! We had a delicious traditional Bulgarian breakfast (we could choose from a whole array of breakfasts) and the host even drove us to the base of the mountain and the train station. Definitely will visit again!
You will experience a stay in an authentic Bulgarian house that is very close to the centre of Kalofer. The rooms are specious, clean and comfortable. There is a very neat and cozy shared kitchen you can use to make coffee and dine. The host is very kind and helpful.
The location of the hotel is great - only 2 mins walk from the start of the mountain routes. The garden is really beautiful as the river passes by its border. The area is very calm and you are surrounded by nature.
The hotel is located in the middle of nature, outside the town. Has inner garden and outdoor terrace area, we had a great grill self-prepared dinner (meat and vegetables provided by the hotel). Small nice hotel.
Very good guest house in Kalofer with a beautiful garden.
I could park the car in front of the property.
Friendly and helpful owner.
The room, the external bathroom and the kitchen were very clean.
Our host was lovely, friendly and helpful, the breakfasts was tasty and filling, the room cozy and clean! I recommend and would definitely stay there again, when I am visiting Kalofer.
Everything was better than expected - from the location through the facilities right to the host. If I’m ever back in Kalofer this is definitely the place I’ll stay. Recommended!!!
It is good to enjoy a calm local town in the center of Bulgaria. The owner is very kind. They have two cute cats in the garden. The room is clean and tidy.
A beautiful house in the center of Kalofer. The garden is very nice. The kitchen has everything. An excellent starting point for hikes in the mountain.
