We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

Property was clean, near to the Kingston downtown and Wolfe Island Ferry Dock. We booked for 2 Full beds and we got 2 rooms with 1 bed in each room & 1 bathroom shared b/w the rooms. Everything was clean . The best facility was the kitchen with stove near the room. It facilitated us to reheat our food in the oven and ate it by sitting inside it. Other than that Tea was available on the main floor all the time to enjoy. I really like the property.

Spacious room, extremely comfortable bed and pillow, really nice facilities. The staff was lovely and the other guests were very respectful and quiet. The bar and restaurant are also top notch. The location is amazing and was 15 minutes at most walking distance from the places we wanted to see/go. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kingston!

Waterfront/downtown location was great. Right beside Confederation Park with trolly tours pick up point and tour boat docks. Many restaurants nearby. Included breakfast was better than expected for a cold boxed meal. Office to pick up vouchers for prepaid tours and cruises is located directly across the street from hotel. Highly recommend a waterview room. Staff were all very accommodating.

Although an older Motel, the facilities offered a secure, clean, quiet, and affordable place to rest our head. It is located near Highway 401 (hardly hear the noise) and it is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Kingston. There are a couple of restaurants that are walking distance and you can fuel up next door. It is the convenient for all your needs.

I think this is a perfect hotel in Kingston. It is very reasonable price. Relatively spacious and clean room. Every staffs are very kind. It looks quiet far from downtown in the map, but It takes only 15 min. by bus. No need to worry about that if you have a car. The market is in front of the hotel. The coin laundry is near the hotel.

Location, view was awesome. The facilities were great. The people, the staff , the waitresses were all very good and professional. Very close to Kingston downtown, lots of great places to roam around, eat, drink and make ancestors proud. The Kingston cruise and trolly is right next door, just book online and board. 2 mins walk

This hotel is rated too low for what it is. Extremely clean and spacious room was newly renovated and it shows. Could not have asked for a better value for this city. Location was central to everything I needed to do while in Kingston and underground parking was a nice addition.

Simple and efficient check in and check out process. The smart TV allowed us to log into our own Netflix account. The majority of the rooms are a waterfront view, being that the hotel is out on a pier. It was central with easy access to the Kingston downtown core.
