Breakfast was not included, but the kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils, dishes, pots, and other materials for cooking. Best we'd seen yet.

Welcoming reception. Great breakfast and location.
It’s a charming, lovely town, a UNESCO site. A fishing town. Every building is a work of art (except the new ones.). Lots of history. And great seafood.
The Fish Shack was a popular bustling place, outdoor patio overlooking the water.
Take the Seaweed Tour from the waterfront. Nancy the owner is a great storyteller and the two hour tour takes you to several great coastal spots.

We were probably 2 weeks off the start of the tourist season...
We were probably 2 weeks off the start of the tourist season, so Lunenburg itself was VERY quiet. Stores closed by 4pm/5pm and restaurants closed by 8pm. We were THE ONLY people out walking at 8.30pm around the waterfront and within the town. Oven Park was closed, as were many of the other nearby attractions. I would suggest your time your visit around the tourist season. The town itself is absolutely beautiful being a UNESCO site and we really enjoyed walking around a sightseeing. It is a beautiful town. Also, all of the restaurants we ate at were delicious. Salt Shaker Deli & Inn. The South Shore Fish Shack. Dockside Lobster & Seafood Restaurant

We had a phenomenal stay at this beautiful historic inn. The room was lovely and very cozy, resulting in 2 nights of very good sleep. Lisa, The hostess made 2 different creative and filling. Lisa gave up very good touring sites advice. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Recommend this inn very highly to others.

Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but...
Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but there's almost nothing to see here. The downtown is a single street a few blocks long with a couple of mostly-empty side streets. One picture, and you are ready to move on.

Beautiful place. A must see destination.
Beautiful place. A must see destination. We only had one night and should have stayed longer. Lots of places to see. Lots of places to eat but it’s busy with tourists. We went a little off the beaten track away from the sea front and found some less busy eateries.

The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum.
The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum. Most of the restaurant served fried foods but we ate at The Lincoln Street Food Store which was very good. We found that the restaurants were expensive for the type of food they offered. To get around in Lunenburg was fairly easy, there are a lot of hills. I think that if we made another trip to Lunenburg we would try to get into the Art Galleries, most were closed when we were there. We would avoid most of the restaurants and try to find one that didn't serve only fried foods.
Hurricane Lee passed through the previous day, and the Inn was without power when we checked in. It was estimated that power would be restored by 11pm. Luckily, the power came back on just after sunset, which was better than expected. The innkeeper was very pleasant and had everything ready for our arrival despite the lack of power. Lunenburg is a very nice little town on the water. In hindsight, we wish we had been able to stay a second night to enjoy the inn and the town.
The location was amazing! You really got a feel for the town being right in the middle of it. The space was unique, not your traditional hotel set up. We were a bit hesitant about parking after some of the other reviews but it was super convenient street parking right outside of the hotel. Checking in & out was super efficient and the staff were lovely! We would definitely stay here again.
We loved everything about it! We stayed in the Cranberry Building and had a large suite. Not only did we love our room, but we loved the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is located downtown and walking distance to restaurants and other shops. We will definitely stay here again if we are in Lunenburg!
Amazing staff- great location and comfortable place to stay on Main Street! Michael and Rita made our stay despite fog and rain- next day had wonderful morning with a coffee made by Rita and walk then sitting in Lunenburg wharf! Fabulous experience !
The Inn was located in the heart of beautiful Lunenburg with incredible views of the harbour! The rooms were very clean and everything we needed was provided by the host family. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, generous and made us feel at home!
The views from both floors have a wonderful view of the Lunenburg harbour, and it's so convenient to walk the town from the central location. It was like having my own apartment and I hope to stay here a third time if I ever return to the area.
From the moment you enter this B&B you are welcomed to a spectacular home that includes the wonderful decor and a outstanding breakfast to the friendliness of the owners. I highly recommend staying at the Alicion if you are in Lunenburg NS
We flipped a coin to see who would get the room in the main hotel and who would stay in the crimson building. We got the crimson room which was smaller but pleasingly updated! Fabulous!! Bed was amazing, thankyou! Breakfast perfect!
