The place is sparkling clean, the bathroom also very good. The hosts allowed us to stay outside till late and eat our food at the table there (in general you must go to your room at 10pm, according to the property rules). It was good value for money.

Spacious enough to move around and loved having a small table with 2 chairs to sit beside the windows (which actually opened) and enjoy drinks and nibbles. Some fruit on arrival and free bottled water each day was also lovely. Very comfortable bed, although the pillows weren’t great. Asked to have firmer ones but didn’t happen. Old elevator was interesting to operate. Loved the art nouveau feel throughout.

Really fancy and old the building which was build in the 16th century. Very authentic. Rooms are large and clean. Batrooms are modernly decorated. There is also a lift to reach upstairs alhough it is a liittle bit slower.

Free parking, very accessible to parts of Berm via public transport. The staff was super helpful to advise us on the Bern app where we could download free passes for bus, train and some attractions free passes. Many good place nearby to have meals as well. Breakfast was the usual Swiss cold cuts with breads & cereals, but they also served a variety of seasonal fruits. This place is very traditional, and lovely. I strongly recommend and will also come back if I'm back to Bern.
