Most importantly clean, and felt safe with my family. The hotel was beautiful and affordable. The staff was great, and helpful. The only cons were the air conditioning didn’t work while we were there, which is common, and the menu would have gotten old if our stay was longer, but still delicious. Montenegro is not a nice town, very messy and chaotic and not pretty at all especially compared to the other beautiful towns in Quindio like Salento and Filandia but it is strategically placed between all the attractions and it is fairly near most places worth visiting. However, many places to stay in Montenegro are in the outskirts of the messy town and they are very nice, ranch style places. The town of Montenegro itself is not worthy (noisy, populated, etc). Outside the town there are a lot of options to stay, this is near Parque del Cafe. The whole region (I think this is what Booking.com wants) is great, and it gives a lot of all-the-day activities to do. Highly recommended.

It's also a perfect place if you're into bird watching. We saw plenty of beautiful birds. They have friendly dogs and a cat. They serve fresh vegetables and fruits which is from the farm.
