Haus Appel and the Ahrtal Valley are an annual pilgrimage for my former academic colleagues and me. Following the floods last year, we were unsure what we find this year. While there is rebuilding for sure that continues, it was wonderful to find that the hospitality and graciousness of Haus Appel, the beauty and hiking in the valley and the excellent wine and food remain!

Super modern rooms, the bath room was just perfect! There were outside blinds (my room was directed towards the street). Very kind owner (lady), thank you very much for hosting me! I wish you quick recovery from the flood damages, keep going :)

Very spacious room, nice bed and good seating area. Bathroom was a bit small but clean and good. Nice location to explore the Age valley. Breakfast is in the building across the street and is a good and extensive breakfast buffet. Free private parking was available behind the building. Staff was friendly and helpful
