The deers running on the surrounding grounds, the landscape, and the surrounding nature can evoke a surreal experience, as much as the haunting details of mounted animals, taxidermy, old dolls in cribs. It is out in the countryside and although you are in a castle that is 1000 years old and it has the feel of an ancient and historic place, the rooms were clean and updated and had all the modern touches needed to make it comfortable. We got a 2 bedroom apartment for £100 with breakfast, absolute bargain. At night the place was absolutely packed with people coming for dinner, it has about 100 tables inside and outside, the food was nice and not expensive. All and all you couldn't ask for more for the price paid.
