The beds are OK, the bathroom is also OK. The price of the salad bar in the evening was also OK. Location of the hotel very good at the entrance of Monschau.
This hotel is situated south of of the old imperial town of Aachen and on the edge of the Medieval town of Monschau. For active people and nature lovers, the surroundings have lots to offer.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Zimmer sauber und ruhig.
Höfener Wirtshaus nestles amid the charming scenery of the North Eifel Nature Park, and enjoys a panoramic mountaintop location overlooking the valleys of the Rur and the Perlbach.
Very clean, close to Monschau, very good breakfast
Monschau is a hidden gem with lots of character. It is a very historic place with artistic connections too. It is easy to walk round but possibly not if you have mobility issues. Everything is very close and the place we ate was outstanding.

Perfect location if you like hiking, woods, rivers and easy mountains. Liked it a lot. Small cute touristic town, almost a village. And a lot of nature around. Even if you came without a car but you love walking - would be nice place for you. There seems not so much to do in the town other than eating and drinking but this was what we needed.

Monschau is a very pretty tourist-centric village.
Monschau is a very pretty tourist-centric village. Lots of hotels, holiday homes, restaurants and cafes. People are very friendly. Parking can be difficult altho there is a parking lot at each end of the village - do use them as parking in the middle is limited.
It has a lovely Christmas Market .
Monschau is also very convenient for visiting Aachen.
The Eifel is also a great area to walk or cycle and there is plenty to keep adults and children busy in the open air!

Visiting for Christmas Market. Aware only on at weekends.
Visiting for Christmas Market. Aware only on at weekends. We have visited several times over 20 years ago.Town not so decorated eg houses etc compared to few years ago. No longer small supermarket nor chemist, less stalls. Market did not seem as busy . The “passion play” held outside involving the children also no longer. Is this just a sign of the times following Covid? / rise in cost of living. However, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Just two of us now. Also enjoyed the snow, made town and surrounding area very festive.

We were on holidays in a group of 4 friends with our dog, Ladrador size. I mention having our dog with us as it impacts what you do. We did not visit inside buildings however walking around Monschau we could enjoy the magical atmosphere and colours of the buildings. People were friendly, terraces were heated and lovely. We ate out twice, together with our dog and had lovely well priced meals and found the staff to be very friendly.
Very cozy (yes that also means small) room in lovely old house in the center of Monschau. We were the only guests on a weekday night - it seems the town is busier on weekends. We were on a bike tour along the Vennbahnradweg, and this was a nice place to stop for the night. The owner allowed us to store our bikes in the cellar. Room was clean and comfortable but very small. This was fine for us as we just needed a place to stay for the night, but do keep it in mind. We appreciated the small fridge in the room.
Good location. It’s close to the Haller Ruïne (which offers a great view of the town) and Burg Monschau, as well as the old town of Monschau. It’s important to be able to walk up and down hill to enjoy these sights and to reach te hotel. There’s a couple of parking spaces at the hotel, which you can make a reservations for. We had a nice stay. Rooms were clean, with a little fridge and comfortable beds. It was real quiet at night, which is a huge plus for me as I have trouble sleeping with sounds.
We enjoyed our stay ay Jeje und Anna's Eifel Haus. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, breakfast was plentiful and varied, the wifi worked well, free parking was available, the hosts were informative and hospitable, and the price was quite reasonable. The location, 15 minutes to Monschau by foot, isn't bad, but it's almost entirely uphill from Monschau to the Eifel Haus.
This perfectly located, historical hotel was just what we were looking for for a few nights away. Our comfort room was large, clean, and the bathroom had great, old-fashioned tiles. The breakfast was good and we were able to have dinner in the restaurant. Our room looked out over the little river and the church. I didn’t find the church bells ringing at 6 am too bothersome.
the hotel was in a part of an old German village on a slight slope. Access was good and the hotel interior was really classic German with original beams and staircase- Even the crockery was in tune with the era and everything matched. If you need to see Germany dated from the 1600s with appropriate modern comforts then this is it! Highly recommended for couples.
the breackfast was very good fresh every morning with every thing that you would like for a continental breackfast with loads of extras that gave a great start to the day. The distance from monschau is not far , and loads of walks round about the b and b is pretty new and is well looked after.
Excellent location, near the historic city center, big size appartment in a historic building. Parking place not far away, fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for families up to 4 kids. We've spent a fabulous weekend enjoying Monschau's extraordinary Halloween festival.
Excellent stay in the green room, everything you need for an overnight stay. We were met immediately by our host for checkin. The green room is very quaint, comfortable and enjoyable. Monschau is a wonderful town for a visit. Highly recommend the H&J.
Perfect location for the village centre and the Christmas markets. The village was picturesque and the market had a great atmosphere. A really nice example of the German Weihnachtsmarkt. The hotel reception staff were very helpful.
This apartment has a unique location, very medieval, attached to a castle wall, just inside the castle gates. It's large and equipped with everything you need. The view is great, a Monschau panorama!
The loft is very nice, well and stylish equipped. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Location is great, calm village, close to the Belgian Haute Fagnes, Monschau and the Eifel Nature Park.
Top location, very friendly staff, clean and modern little hotel room! Great for a couple of nights in Monschau. Nice parking facilities. Very reasonably priced. Easy check in and out.
Very nice room, hosts were very friendly - a very cosy (hyggeligt) hotel / B&B. Super service incl. a nice breakfast. situated in the center of Monschau. Highly recommendable.
Spacious apartment in a nice location just a short walk from the center of Monschau. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking available next to the premises.
Staff were very helpful. The hotel is in the Alt Stad historic location. There are many shops and restaurants in the area. The bathroom was newly renovated.
