This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. A modern building, very well appointed and equipped. My room was in effect a suite. Staff most pleasant and efficient. The breakfast lived up to its description as gourmet. The restaurant too was of a high standard. Plenty of parking space and a quiet location. I could not fault anything.
This heritage building from the 19th century is located in Bad Bergzabern. Hotel Luise offers a garden and terrace, and is well located for hiking and cycling excursions.

All was fine except having to run across the very busy road to get to reception, breakfast, bike shed etc.
Breakfast is unequaled in this price category.
