The city is interesting but you can easily see all the important sights in one day. The best thing about the city is its location since you can very quickly reach any of the bigger cities in a reasonable amount of time by public transport

Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt.
Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt. We had a private tour with a very good, knowledgeable guide. Schloss Rastatt Favorite is also a must see. You could use Rastatt as a base to explore the surrounding area...Baden-Baden, Schwarzwald etc. We had a great meal at Lehners Wirtshaus. Reasonably priced, delicious German food and beer. We sat outside under the trees overlooking the Schlossgarten. Lovely!

The light show on the Palace was quite spectacular.
The light show on the Palace was quite spectacular. We also used Rastatt for a base for Karlsruhe and Baden Baden. We will stay in Rastatt again. The train service is also very good to Karlsruhe. The train became a tram!

I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem.
I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem. There is scope for them to add more furniture and decoration to the palace and realty market that. The area around the palace and gardens is really nice and could be marketed as an upmarket "couples" destination.
the room ist very Small for Family with 2 Kinder . I paid 138€ for the small room with breakfast . I think the price was a little bit expensive. the hotel ist clean und the staff are friendly. the Wi-Fi here is very bad . don’t count on the internet here it’s really bad . I think the hotel should change the internet provider. we are in 2023 I think good internet should be provided like water or electricity. I will give the hotel 3 star to be fair
A very good place to stay for a night on the way: good location, easy to find, free parking. The receptionist was more than kind: we were arriving late and he called us to organise handing the keys. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also very good.
Please keep in mind that the hotel is located right at the train station. If you are fragile to noises have your earplugs with you!
The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in process was seamless and didn't require any personal interaction, so can be done at any time.
The breakfast was also nice and overall value is very good for the price.
I left some personal belongings in the hotel, and the staff was very kind to send them to me by post!
The business room we stayed in was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was served from 7.30 am in the weekend but we could already start at 7 am. Perfect location, close to large park which is excellent when travelling with a dog (which we did). The hotel does charge 10 euro per night for the dog.
Host’s hospitality, cleanliness, quiet location, breakfast, cosy room.
I stayed there actually on my way to Baden-Baden with idea to save money, but I was surprised that Rastatt turned out to be more interesting for me than my destination point, and it definitely worth longer stay.
The place was okay . The building was pretty cool but was hard to find . No signage that we saw other than the number of the building . We had to ask another hotel where it was and he phoned for us . The owner met us on the street . It was adequate nothing fancy .
The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the kettle and tea/coffee in the room were really appreciated. The breakfast was great with wide range of fruits. Free parking lot by the hotel with no hassle was also a plus.
Clean, nice staf and very good position. It is on 10minutes by walk to train station. It is one of the best Ibis that i stay.
My doughter find on the door choclate in 6 December for Nicholas Celebrate.
Thank you Ibis Rastatt!
The room was quiet and clean. The shared bathrooms are clean. The breakfast has vegan options!! This was shocking. Bigger, international hotel chains in the are didn't, but this small place in a small town did. It was great.
Located in Rastatt center, a lovely town + train station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The staff was great and accommodating. The room was spacious. WiFi connection was good.
Hôtel was really great. Staff very very pleasant. Situated on a quite side street in town , breakfast as good as i ever have had . Stay here folks you will love it!!!
Nice quiet location. Room was comfy. East walking distance to restaurants, although the one in the hotel looked great. Nice inside place to keep our bicycles.
