Our check-in was slightly chaotic due to an event going on in part of the building, but we soon found our very kind host who helped us find a room and get parked up. They very considerately offered us a larger room, more away from the event, and it ended up not being a bother to us. Pension Slotsgaarden appears to be run by a small family who live there, and who were all most pleasant. This especially applies to their dog, who apparently enjoys meeting new people, or at least new people who may give him treats.
We ended up staying in a large loft room, well-aired out after the day's heat, and ended up having dinner (take-away from the local pizzeria) on the balcony overlooking the garden. The town is quite small and quiet, and Pension Slotsgaarden offers an excellent opportunity to stay in the Danish countryside.
Breakfast was great, with fresh local produce and delicious breads and coffee.
