Not sure why anyone would go to Alboraia, there is literally...
Not sure why anyone would go to Alboraia, there is literally nothing to do there! You would be better off going to Benimaclet (2 metro stops away) this is where you get the tram to the beach. If you are planning on walking to the beach from Alboraia, it is approximately 50 minutes away.
Alboraia is primarily a residential area, there is a bar/restaurant next door to the hotel but it doesn’t open until 6pm. I used the bathroom one night while having a drink there & it was filthy, so we immediately dismissed the possibility of eating there! The only other restaurant is across the road from the hotel which again, does not open until around 5.30/6pm - looked lovely but never went in there.
City centre Colon is about 5 or 6 stops away, airport is 19 stops. Metro is about a 3 minute walk from Olympia hotel.
Do not plan on ever going back to Alboraia for all of the above reasons.

We chose Alboraya to visit Valencia from.
We chose Alboraya to visit Valencia from. It is easy to drive into, possible to park the car (not easy, but possible) The city of Valencia is only a few stops away on the Metro.
There are bars, restaurants and shops there.
Saplaya Harbour is a good location if the beach is as important to you as Valencia itself. The harbour is it's own mini-village, made up of retirees, second home owners and holiday rentals. It had a sleepy vibe in October. As we had kids, we wanted the beach and the ability to be able to go into Valencia a few times without staying there. (The bus from the harbour takes 25 mins to get in). This property has a great balcony and is traffic free, so the kids to run around and go to the beach unsupervised.
- Clean, cozy, and comfortable apartment.
- Patacona beach is really close.
- Comfortable rooms and beds.
- Fully equipped kitchen.
- Nice terrace to spend time outside.
- Many beach bars and restaurants around. Going for a walk to the Malvarosa beach area is a pleasant stroll.
- Supermarket (Consum) is within 5 minutes walking distance.
- Bus stop at the door with line 31 to Valencia downtown.
- Quick and helpful communications (thank you, Vittorio).
Beautiful and unusual hotel with a really lovely atmosphere. We loved the beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms, the gorgeous gardens, the small but lovely pool, and especially the restaurant area. Breakfast was delicious and served by a wonderfully gracious host, and dinner was impeccable and extremely good value. This is a really special place to stay!
Fully equipped apartament with a sea view in Port Saplaya, surfing club, cafeteria, restaurants nearby, supermarket 20 min walk... peace and quiet place where you watch a sunrise every day :) 15 min drive to Valencja by car and very good place to go visit Sagunto or Caves de Sant Josep
The hotel is near a metro station that takes you directly into the city centre without the need to change trains. Very easy.
We were visiting the Fallas fiesta so didn't use the facilities within the hotel, but the staff at reception were pleasant and helpful.
Decent sized room.
Location was a bit far from city but with metro station a 3 minute walk it was very convenient!
Gym and pool and other facilities were fantastic. Spa was great too but just make sure you reserve in advance.
Staff was nice and courteous.
Room was spacious and lovely, bathroom also generous and well equipped. Nice sitting area outside the rooms and pretty views from the windows. Pool was nice and we enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around in the grass.
As part of the hotel, there was a fitness club with a pool and paddle courts. There was also a spa on location. All is great for relaxing, and the staff was very kind and helpful.
This is like staying an a poor project building. It is not for couples
Maybe for families with children and you live in Spain -but definitely not for travellers -not for couples
Location excellent, use of the local pool, spacious, bedrooms air conditioned, lovely hosts who helped us with our bags when our flight was late at night after checking out.
