Rather expensive for 156 euros/ night. We stayed at the 4* Instel Hotel, the night before and that was only 90 euros/ night.
The bedroom was rather small, but the beds were very comfortable
Staff were wonderful. They couldn’t do more to make our stay as pleasant as possible

A small town which advertises itself as a place with historic rail links. Sadly, it seems to be the roads which have had more impact and we felt that the centre of town had been largely denuded of restaurants; the ones we used were on the western edge of town, towards the bus station. The town prides itself on being the birthplace of Cervantes, but was there a postcard to be found? No.

A bit run down but wonderful church and a nice shopping area. Bars and restaurants were still closed at 8.30pm on a Tuesday night and locals all seemed to be in 1 bar that was open on the plaza
Ok for a 1 night stop off

Unfortunately not very much, the hotel is in need of some refurbishment,I noticed from reviews going back to 2019 that the restaurant was waiting for a refurbishment,it's still waiting!!as it's closed.
When you are paying for a bedroom for the night obviously being able to get a good night's sleep is important.
We really enjoyed our short stay at casa del Médico in Alcazar San Juan. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The patio with pool was a wonderful space. Breakfast was beautiful and the staff were very helpful . Alcazar is a lovely small town. I would highly recommend both this hotel and the town.
Very good location for visiting windmills in the area. The city itself is nice, easy to walk around. The hotel is very good for one night trip, with a comfortable room, no noise and a simple but good breakfast. You can easily park in the street.
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable bed.
Stayed one night as stopover for long train journey, easy walking distance from station.
Simple breakfast included but fine for reasonable price for room.
Excellent! We were welcomed with great friendliness and professionalism. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and elegantly decorated. We had no problems with parking. We definitely recommend it!
Hotel v quiet but proved to be comfortable with helpful staff. Two easy chairs in the bedroom a good feature. A brilliant night halt on our journey south.
