The host Jose was very communicative. The hotel is in a fabulous rural location with splendid views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel has a very cosy feel with a real log fire and shutters on the windows and has been fitted out to a high standard.

We parked in the underground parking which was a bit tight with our car but the staff were brilliant at helping us get in and out. Very patient! Top location too. Just a short stroll from the Cathedral and bars and restaurants.

Lovely hotel within the centre of the old town and overlooking a picturesque square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Building well looked after and very clean. Very quiet at night as just far enough away from the busier areas. Parking in an enclosed area to the rear of the hotel. Room basic, but very spacious and clean. Bathroom also quite spacious and again very clean. Didn’t have breakfast as a little pricey, and no hot options, but knew this when booking. Leon is a lovely old city and easy walking within and beyond the old town. Lots of bars and restaurants starting only a few minutes away. Leon is a university city and is very lively in the evenings with lots of young people creating a nice atmosphere.

Exceptional hotel in every respect. Spotlessly clean, very quiet even though right on a main intersection, great bed. Large shower cubicle with great water pressure. Staff very helpful. Secure motorcycle parking.

The Occidental León Alfonso V has an excellent location in the commercial centre of León. The historic heart of the city is just a short walk away.
