The location and showers are superb.
In the first instance I didn’t like my room because it was tucked behind the public restroom which was noisy. But upon request the staff changed my room which was lovely.
Set in Hondarribia city centre, Hotel Jauregui is 5 minutes' walk from the beach and 2.1 km from San Sebastián Airport, and 35 minutes' drive from Saint Jean de Luz.

Staff, location, large room, good breakfast - fabbo!
There is a car park very near which you have to pay for 10 - 8pm. Lots of bars / restaurants nearby.
An elegant and modern hotel, this establishment is situated in an exclusive setting in the residential area of Hondarribia with views of Jaizkibel Mountain. It is 10 minutes' walk to the town centre.

Loved the decor!!
It’s such a beautiful hotel and the room was extremely clean. Ther service was also exceptionally good.
The reception room was my favourite space, beautiful yet so comfy and inviting with fire on that I spent few minutes to wind down and warm up even in April every evening when we con back.
The breakfast had all I’d want.
The spa was a bonus.
Everything was perfect for our stay and I would love to go back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great staff and location. Right on the door step of a main square.
Parador de Hondarribia is set in an impressive 10th-century castle overlooking the Bidasoa Estuary. It has a charming courtyard terrace and another terrace with fantastic views.
This attractive guest house is located 10 minutes’ walk from the beach. Set in pretty gardens, it offers an outdoor pool, a terrace and scenic sea and countryside views.
Old Town was brilliant.
Great base to visit San Sebastián & a short boat ride across the harbour to Hendaye (France), which we knew nothing about but where the beach & the promenade were a real (pleasant!) surprise.

A wonderful town with a lot of character and great views of the river/bay. I would love to go back. The restaurant area is nice, as is the walking area by the water. Find free parking near the large grocery store and walk in. Hard to find parking

There were things I wanted to do and see but the weather wasn’t great. I think it’s over hyped and over priced in relation to the food. San Sebastián was much better and had more choice and was much better value. The area is of course beautiful and the old town was worth seeing but it does have its limitations.

Lovely place to use as base for day trips to Biaritz an San Sebastiaan. It also has a wide sandy beach, lovely promenade and wide leafy pedestrian walkways. The old town and the colourful old buildings are very interesting.

Very nice little town right at the border with France, giving you the opportunity to visit places at the both sides of the Basque country. It has very nice sandy beach at the end of the quite a long walkway where people walk, ride bikes, rollers, skates. You can enjoy sitting at the nice cafeterias around the city, but the main experience is actually the medieval, fortified city center located few minutes walk from the sea. Narrow streets, beautiful stone buildings, nice restaurants, small town squares. Definitely a city worth of visiting!

1)Hondarribia is a place I liked very much, lots to see and do and a beautiful harbour for swimming.
2) Take a little ferry to France, have lunch and have a drink at one of the many bars / restaurants.
3) You MUST go to the La Hermandad de Pescadores, what a wonderful experience, delicious food, nice wine and very pleasant staff .
4) I thought the Pintxos were very boring compared to what's on offer in San Sebastian
Staff were exceptionally nice and let us check in early. Really good breakfast - we stayed 4 days and had breakfast at the hotel every day. It's a buffet with same choice each day, and everything is fresh and good quality. Including lots of fruit, homemade yoghurt and cake. We went in second half of June and the hotel seemed quiet and relaxed. 10 mins to the town centre and you don't need to walk any steps - there are open-air escalators that take you to the village. Hondarribia itself is a hidden gem.
Fantastic hotel in a gorgeous building, with a charming terrace restaurant/bar. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made our holiday extremely enjoyable. Location perfect, in the centre of the old town with its cobbled streets, beautiful buildings, plentiful tapas bars and great views. Loved it. By chance we were entertained first by a concert set up in the square in front of the hotel, and later by a film crew recording a period drama in the streets. Fabulous place.
Location in beautiful town with many restaurants, bars, Cafes. Private parking. We were very pleasant with such compliment as big flowers bouquet. Design of building and appartment, stunning view from all windows with palms, trees, mountains. The beach is very close. Well organized meeting upon arrival with Mrs.Eva.
Elevator. Good access to room.
I will recommend this place for my friends.
Very nice and responsive hosts. The location is perfect, close to everything. Wifi was working well and fast. The property even comes with a large shared garden and pool deck. The parking is perfect, we did not have to worry about the car, and there are some great hikes around the area, stunning coastal geography nearby and some excellent restaurants with Bask food.
Everything was great. This is a stunning property up on the hill above Hondarribia. The host is very welcoming, speaks perfect English, and went out of his way to be helpful. A short 15 min walk to bars and restaurants. Safe parking for motorbikes. The breakfast was amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view is stunning. Cannot fault the stay at all.
The location is perfect for travellers as it is in the border between France and Spain. We received very detailed instructions about the check-in process (which is automatic) before our arrival. Breakfast was nice with many options to choose from, and the staff was very polite and helpful. The amazing view is the highlight of this property.
Clean, standard hotel room in superb location and professional, friendly staff. Right on the doorstep of excellent plazas and restaurants and only a short stroll to the Old Town. Free parking only 10-15 minutes walk away, but you could also park at the front of the hotel for 10 minutes for free while you drop your bags off or re-load them.
Lovely setting and location. Lovely, clean little pool. Really easy and quick to get into Hondarribia town or the bus to San Sebastián.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were all so nice and welcoming and spoke great English. It was great to have a fridge in the room too, very powerful shower and a super hairdryer.
We were on a three week vacation to Spain & Morocco, and Villa Magalean was the highlight. This is one of the cutest hotels we’ve stayed in, and they offered us a free upgrade for our honeymoon. 🥰
Beautiful, spacious and bright rooms only a short walk to the elevator to the old town. Definitely recommend staying here!
The location of this apartment was excellent, close to the beach and town with a lovely view from the balcony which gives a great sea view. Off road garaged parking was a plus for care of the hire car and thankfully a good selection of eating places was recommended by Beñat our contact at the apartment.
The Hotel was very central for the old town and bars/restaurants.
Free parking was possible but a little walk. Maria and Sonia at reception were extremely helpful with any questions and the Hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Little cafe next door was good for a coffee or snack etc.
Amazing location and super friendly staff! They were so helpful with reccomendations etc. We were really lucky to get one of the hotel's two parking spots, which are free and really close by. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was especially lovely and clean!
We like that it is near the center of the town. Supermarket and pharmacy are just five minutes walk. Very convenient location. Staff was very helpful in booking taxis, arranging for laundry, and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Buffet breakfast was great!
everything! beautiful apartment, really clean and well equipped. fantastic location in centre of hondarribia, which is a fabulous little town with so much going on and a beautiful old town!
It is so unusual, an old building not spoilt by its conversion into a hotel. The breakfast was very good. There was a restaurant next door. Parking was just outside the hotel.
