On top of the Santa Catalina hill, this 18th-century castle has been beautifully renovated keeping its huge stone walls and many historical features to make for an authentic stay in Jaén.

Nice hotel with an excellent location in the centre of Jaen. There is a car park opposite the hotel a couple of minutes walk away and for the overnight stay it was 17 euros. Staff were very friendly and helpful and checkin was quick and easy. The room was very spacious and very clean with excellent facilities and the bathroom was spacious and again good facilities. There is a bar and restaurant on site and drinks were reasonably priced. There are also lots of bars and restaurants close by to the hotel. The main centre and cathedral were about a 15 to 20 minute walk away.
Hotel Infanta Cristina is set in a new residential area of Jaen, near El Corte Inglés and the University. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, gym and free Wi-Fi.

This is a very olde worlde style hotel set somewhat incongruously on a main road into Jaen. It was very comfortable however and beautifully appointed. Choice at breakfast was pretty good.
This modern hotel is located in the city centre of Jaén and features a terrace with views over the cathedral. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV and private bathroom.

The room was big and had everything as per description. The people there went out of their way to help. May I express my thanks here.

You need to be fit and active to get about the hilly setting of the city.
Obviously traffic is heavy but a good portion of the streets are pedestrianised.
Street beggars and graffiti are common place as in most cities.
History, religion, olive oil and panoramic views are plentiful.
Spanish language skills need to good.

Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked.
Interesting part of Andalucía often overlooked. It has a cathedral and Arab bath ruins. The town is hilly. There is a castle on a nearby hill, but you will need a taxi to go there. One thing about Jaen that you do not find elsewhere in Andalucía is that impatient drivers lay on their horns. Jaen is very hilly so take your time and rest as needed. The sites and architecture at the top of the city is amazing.

Jaen is worth a visit, a beautiful view from the castle, a cosy old town, good food and friendly people!
The castle has an interesting history, and the Cathedral is a must while exploring the old town! Do not forget to taste the local food - it opens new experiences to you!!
And if you enjoy shopping -all that you need you can find both in a huge mall Ingles and in small cosy local shops! The olive oil is sure the best in Jaen as it is all surrounded by huge fields of olive trees!

The room was terribly hot, a true nightnare, I didn’t sleep at all. The 2 rooms were sold with airco, but they weren’t working. In the morning the reception staff couldn’t care less that I hadn’t slept at all. I felt terrible, nobody was sorry, apologized or could understand the fact that I complained about having bought a room with airco to find that they didn’t put it on.
I have never seen such a bad attutide of reception staff.
I will never go back.

Jaen is a very classy town and at the same time with a young heart.
The views to the mountains that surround the town , the cathedral, the arab baths, the history museum and ,not the last, the many Michelin restaurants are enough reasons to plan a visit.
The hosts Maria and Antonio took great care that we could arrive at the property (in the centre of Jaen with narrow streets like all old towns in Spain), keeping in touch with us during our drive there. The location enabled us to walk around easily to the main attractions. The hosts also gave good recommendations for nearby places to eat out in. The property was equipped with everything including coffee, ample detergent for the washing machine. The hosts provided a surprise with a local delicacy.
An amazing historic building, with fantastic views across the countryside and over Jáen.
Everything in the bedroom and en-suite was clean and comfortable. The lighting was good for reading or relaxing.
Very helpful attentive staff, delicious lunch, supper and breakfast.( Local specialities on the menu)
There is a short walk to a view point beyond the parador and during opening hours it’s possible to visit the ruins of the castle which make up the other half of the building.(€3s)
The man who ran the place was very helpful and friendly. We were traveling by bicycle and were able to carry them up to the room and keep them inside (no elevator). The location is very good if you want to be in the heart of Jaen. In Spain this often also means that bars and restaurants will be very lively and noisy until at least midnight. We were there on a Saturday night. There are several right next to the hotel.
This property was perfect. Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds, swimming pool, free parking, rooms with incredible views, excellent on-site restaurant. We loved it. The nearby village has an exquisite cathedral. Our adult children liked it so much that we re-arranged a day of our trip to stay longer on property. Hint: the upgraded room is worth it.
The flat was just perfect for my family to stay one night in Jaén. It was super clean and cozy, and there was everything we needed. The host, Toni, and his family was welcoming our family upon arrival. (muy amable) Toni was very responsive and easy to communicate.
Muy recomendable.
Lovely apartment in a central location, near cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants. Extremely, clean with nice little touches. Owner kept in touch and made recommendations on where to visit in Jaen. Lovely spacious shower. Parking was arranged by the owner and was easy.
Great location, nice clean hotel, perfect for our stop over in Jaen.
Breakfast is a good selection of meats, cheese, bread, yogurt & fruit
Coffee was very good as were the juices.
Easy check in and we parked directly outside hotel as wasn’t too busy.
Good location for historic centre and cafes. Hotel now has its own indoors parking zone nearby. Lift useful, especially to 8th floor rooftop for fantastic view and outdoor seating. Room comfortable. Good coin coffee machine in lobby.
Loved the traditional apartment with modernised decor in the heart of Jaen. Great facilities, including washing machine and clothes line. Very helpful host with suggestions for food and places to visit. Spacious and quiet apartment.
We liked the hotel anyway, but we were extra lucky. For some reason we got an upgrade to a very luxurious junior suite with hot tub! Private parking and location on the main shopping street downtown. Huesca is nice and lively.
Great location at the motorway intersection en route South, without having to go into Jaén itself, stylish & modern hotel with spacious & comfortable room, good value restaurant and great breakfast selection.
Good convenient location
Clean nice rooms with 2 bathrooms, kitchen & dining table.
Fantastic views of Jaen and the Cathedral.
Air conditioning is available.
Very helpful and responsive property owners
Everything about this place was fabulous from the kind welcome at reception to the excellent food in the restaurant. This hotel set the '10' standard for my 6 week Europe and scandanavia trip.
Very well located in the city centre and easy to reach by car. The hotel has its own parking butif it's full, there is a public parking one block away..
