It is a beautiful place. The decor is lovely. Everything you need is there. They have a bath/shower! The hostess was kind, caring. We added a breakfast, available from 0800 on a Sunday. It had fruit, avocado, loads of bread, teas and coffee, turkey meat, cheese, for 10 euros. We loved it here. We were on the camino. It was a mile out of Pobena.

Breakfast was ok, other than the Bacon which was just a ball of fat. Time to supply decent back Bacon!3

I had breakfast each morning which was fine.
The hotel (once I had found it!) was very handily located for the ferry port and had a very useful garage (given the appaling parking difficulty in the locality!). I was also able to keep my bike in the garage.

Easy to find and only 15 mins to ferry in morning.
Easy to find and only 15 mins to ferry in morning. As others have said very basic food but all very tasty so no complaints. Comfy beds and excellent shower. We asked for a room not overlooking gas works and that was what we got. Room 203. We are likely to stay again as in such a good location for a morning ferry.
It is a brilliant family run hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We unfortunately did not have time to try the food as we had to rush off to catch the ferry on the morning, which was a comfortable 15 minutes drive. The car park area of the hotel is grated and write secure. This would make a good biker stop especially those wanting to catch an early ferry or arriving on an evening ferry.
Oh the coffee, the coffee - "Cafe com leche" - oh god that coffee was good......
Well placed for the Bilbao Ferry port. Stayed overnight to catch the early morning ferry to Portsmouth. Quaint old stone house converted to a hotel. Lovely quaint features and excellent continental breakfast . Spotlessly clean, well maintained and staffed by friendly and helpful people. Will be back ......
The room was very comfortable and we had a great dinner in the on-site restaurant. We had read from other reviews that dinner wasn’t available but rang in advance and were told that there would be food. It is near the refinery as noted by other reviewers but the refinery is well camouflaged from the hotel and didn’t bother us. Good location for walkers on Camino del Norte.
The hospitality and friendliness were just so good. The kind of treatment that makes you feel bad if you didn’t leave them a good review haha! The room, toilet, the whole hotel, everything was clean and nice. Definitely would come again if I’m around the area in the future.
Lovely couple running the hotel with very warm welcome. Gave us excellent advice about travelling into Bilboa using the train which is easy and only takes 45min to the centre. Place is kept scrupulously clean and facilities of very good standard.
I thought I booked a B&B but it turned out to be a bar / restaurant / hotel.
Good place to stay for a few bucks.
There is an enormous public parking area out front. It's a smallish town with bars, restaurants and enough space to take a walk.
Amazing place, very relaxed they also have a restaurant nearby so the food was equally as nice, super clean and very well designed very cool, I couldn't do it justice to be honest, one of my best stays in over a 1000 hotels.
Perfect well done
The owners are amazing and friendly, stayed twice now and I can highly recommended this family run hotel . Continental breakfast was lovely, nice modern bar , loads of parking with secured electronic gate, rooms cleaned everyday.
although we were only staying for one night we were made to feel very welcome and valued,it was excellent value for money and as we were catching an early ferry from Bilboa it was just 15 minutes away.a beautiful family run hotel
Little hotel with few rooms within the living area. There is a narrow one-way road to reach the hotel and there is a possibility to park car in the court. Good wooden furniture in the room and everywere in the hous.
