Au Pied du Chateau is located right in the heart of Bourdeilles which has a couple of little convenience stores, restaurants and bars. The house was clean when we arrived and it is well set up for cooking and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi was extremely reliable. The Bourdeilles vibe is very friendly and we couldn’t fault Jim, the owner of the house, who responded quickly to any messages. The welcome information book provided by Jim is also very thorough. It shows you how to work appliances and also gives you tourist information about the surrounding area. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Au Pied du Chateau and recommend it highly to anyone interested in visiting the area.

We stayed only one night, but would like to stay longer. Its a place where to have a real French holiday. Have morning coffee on the stairs between the roses. Bourdeilles is just 10minute walk away. They serve very good breakfast! Unfourtenately we didn't have the time to enjoy the bamboo garden or have a yoga class. Next time!

This is a lovely place to stay if you’re on a bike (velo) tour. Our party of four cyclists had one large room on two levels with 4 separate beds, a safe place to store bikes overnight, a fabulous evening meal, a cooked breakfast and even a small pool in which to unwind at the end of the day. Easy walk into town.
This 15th-century château is located in the Dordogne countryside, a 5-minute drive from Brantôme and is set on 160-hectare tree-filled park with an outdoor swimming pool.

This is a delightful hotel to stay in. The ambiance is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the dinner in the restaurant was one of the best we have experienced and enjoyed in an hotel. Breakfast was first rate too. The newly opened spa is, together with the 12 metre outdoor pool, a 'must'!

The property is in a superb position in a beautiful medieval setting. The charming river flows right past the terrace that forms one side of the building. And, for a premium, our room was large, airy, with plentiful large windows and had a balcony right above the riverbank.

It’s a quiet not to touristy village , that was close to lots of great tourist hotspots . The setting is idyllic. , on the Drone river with lots of avian wildlife . 2 very good restaurants ( The Nommad , and the Drona in the Hostellerie de Griffon hotel) and a pizza outdoor restaurant by the RV park .

I fell in love with this little town full of charm and...
I fell in love with this little town full of charm and ancient history. There is a lot to see and a wonderful castle to visit. Take your time walking through the narrow street and discover the history of this charming town. Also worth stopping off at the Hotel Griffon which offers a delicious dinner on a terrace overlooking the river. Fabulous food and wine and great staff too, you will not be dissapopinted.

An absolute oasis in the heart of the French countryside. The hotel, Hostellerie Les Griffons was excellent. friendly welcome, nothing too much trouble. Looking forward to our next stay. The village is delightful.
