Good location and good beds, it is in an old building. It is very clean and there was a fan in the room (needed!).
Nestled in the heart of Châtillon sur Chalaronne, the Hôtel de la Tour welcomes you in a warm setting combining traditional charm and modern comfort.

This is a lovely hotel - well one of the two hotels that form part of the site - once you can find it. I
On the restaurant the menu is somewhat limited and if you don't want frogs legs or crustaceans very limited. I cannot eat crustaceans so I was rather disappointed especially so when the amuse bouche was a crustacean mousse from which I could not benefit. My partner, however, was in heaven with that and the langoustine and lobster more expensive menu. I on the other hand was left with an interesting sounding vegetarian starter option "Petits Légumes Croquants au Piment d’Espelette 19.00€
Mimosa d Œufs de Caille" and the description suggests something crispy. On arrival it was anything but. It was merely Salad Russe - Russian Salad by any other name - and lacking any piment d'Espelette. For those unaware Russian salad is cold boiled carrots, potatoes and peas (in this case frozen) in a mayonnaise-like sauce and certainly not worth €19.00. My only main course option was "Traditionnelle Volaille de la Dombes à la crème 32.00€
Riz de Camargue Cuit à l Etuvé" which was actually chicken cooked in the style of George Blanc from Bourg en Bresse and not particularly from Les Dombes. The sauce was pleasant as was the rice but the chicken was dry, almost certainly cooked twice, and very chewy - not exactly falling off the bone.
Having said all that it was a fairly pleasant stay in a very nice location and but for all the issues above would have given it a much higher rating but one can only speak as one finds. I would risk another stay there warned in advance as I am now.

Lovely apartment, clean and everything we needed. Excellent location.
Lamaison-d'ose in Romans provides adults-only accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, an open-air bath and a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 23 km from Ainterexpo.
Set in a small village. Room functional with all mod cons including individual air con unit, electric window blind. Clean. A bit off the motorway but worth the drive and didn’t make our onward journey any longer. Parking opposite in a car park which is charged for. Breakfast from 08.00. Breakfast basic but hotel is ⭐️⭐️ And not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chatillon has a lovely medieval centre with a beautiful ancient market Les Halles. It is certainly worth a visit for a day or two. Fantastic market on Saturday mornings. I would suggest not arriving on a Sunday afternoon as nothing is open on Sunday evenings for a meal or drinks only the pizza takeaway and kebab shops! There are some fantastic restaurants and patisseries so you don't want to miss these.

We visited La Tour many years ago and decided it was time for a re-visit. There have been changes, but the hotel is still full of charm with an excellent team of staff. The decor is quirky (in a nice way) with lots of antiques and decorative items. The restaurant is on the pricey side (particularly the wine) but the quality excellent and it was nice to treat ourselves after a day on the road. La Tour is also well situated - Chatillon is only a small town but it is a charming place to stroll around and the hotel is right in the centre.
In an ideal location in the centre of Chatillon with free parking close by. Beautiful medieval building with beams, sloping floor etc. Very comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and coped with my gluten free needs at breakfast very well as I can't have the lovely French bread and croissants so they provided fruit salad, omelette and gluten free bread. I arrived very late due to delayed flight but they had given me the code to get in and my key was waiting for me. Can't fault this hotel.
The room though quite small was modern and very comfortable with everything you need. I liked the blackout blind and the air conditioning. The Hotel du Commerce is in an excellent position right in the centre of town and next to the free parking in the square. The staff don't speak any English (why should they, this is not a complaint) but were very friendly and seemed to understand my school girl French OK.
Set in a lovely village. Had to drive down some lovely lanes but was glad to get off motorway for a bit and it didn’t make our onward journey any longer. Clean room which was cosy but very functional. Had all mod cons even electric window blinds and individual air con unit. There was a fair going on over the road When we arrived 🤦♀️ But you could barely hear it. Lots of parking across from hotel
Small hotel with great location in the "center" of Chatillon. Several dining locations are close by.
You will need some french language skills (or Google translation ) for the reception to arrange things.
Good wifi coverage in the rooms.
Smaller but high quality breakfast selection.
