Great stay. We were welcomed as friends. Hosts took great care to establish are requirements and met them completely. Wonderful evening, drinks and canapes on terrace then fantastic meal.

Our hosts, specially Bertrand, managed to make us feel at home away from home. We felt like we were visiting family rather than complete strangers. It help that they all could speak English (and even Spanish and Italian).
We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and healthy, with home made bread and amazing tomatoes.
We were lucky enough to get a tour with Bertrand and he showed us his gorgeous tomato plants, as well as his 'seed museum' :). I loved his generosity offering his knowledge and he got me into collecting tomato seeds ready for when I have a piece of land to start experimenting.
The room is upstairs and we love the dedicated sitting area outside.

We were disappointed with the food . Felt like the kitchen was trying too hard and combination of flavours did not always work. Very expensive meal which did not meet up to our expectations. Room very comfortable

the staff was very friendly, indeed. The room was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed the cheese platter as well as their hot appetisers (especially when you had a sumptuous luncheon, elsewhere and really only want to have something to nibble).
This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period.

It was clean and modern and the owners were so helpful and friendly.
Our room smelt gorgeous, it was comfortable and had a view overlooking the beautiful courtyard.
We had a tasty breakfast using superb local produce.
It was such a joy after a few disappointing experiences
I would not hesitate to recommend this

Well placed for exploring the Loire & has enough facilities...
Well placed for exploring the Loire & has enough facilities for a short visit. Our centre of Azay le Rideaux was perfect for a short stay - small very attractive town with it’s own chateaux & some excellent restaurants, bars & cafes.

Beautiful surroundings with a lovely gite and rooms.
Beautiful surroundings with a lovely gite and rooms. The host is also a tomato farmer and grows 650 varieties. We were greeted wih a lovely tomato salad and a glass of wine It is very near to get to Azay le rideau by car and we very content to stay in the beautiful gite and chat to our host before heading off to explore the region the next day. When we looked in the morning there was also a few things nearby in cheille such as a bar.
Quiet and comfortable place in the heart of Loire valley, 20 min walk to Azay le Rideau. We felt very welcomed by the Australian owners and enjoyed home made dinner with them very much. highly recommended if you desire more than an anonymous hotel. La Jagee truly has character and old world style. Our daughter very much enjoyed playing with the two very friendly dogs
