We were with a group of classic car people. We liked the hotel because parking was good and we could walk into town. The room was a good size and the bathroom was good.

The welcome and service was great.
Also quite unique - breakfast great, but taken in my own personal stable stall!

Our only disappointment is that we only had one night at this superb house. The beds were incredibly comfortable and our room - and the whole house - was decorated and furnished with impeccable taste. It was so quiet; a good night’s sleep is guaranteed.
The breakfast was delicious. There was so much choice, and all excellent quality and beautifully presented.
Our host could not have been kinder or more welcoming.
We can recommend with no reservations.

Location was lovely and very quiet. The apartment is in a very interesting historic stone building. It is spacious with comfortable bedrooms, living room and a well equiped kitchen in a very peaceful location. The owner met us on arrival to hand over the keys and describe the shops, restaurants and places to visit, which is very helpful and welcoming.

The museum telling the story of French civilians during WWII - very moving. You could buy an English handheld that gave you all the information although the exhibits were in both French and English.
William The Conqueror Castle - again an excellent exhibition in both French and English. Handheld tablet let you see all the rooms as they would have been used and there were holograms of the historical kings and queens who had lived there.

A lovely town, we enjoyed walking around and reading about the WWII history of the town. We had a nice dinner at one of the many restaurants and visited Château de Falaise (William the Conquerer's castle). This castle has one of the very best tour experiences we've had. We went early and beat the busloads of tourists that arrived as we were leaving, so we almost had the place to ourselves for our self-guided tour. It was a quick overnight stop for us, but one we're very glad that we made!

A fantastic castle, where William the Conqueror was born and raised. There was a great deal of World War 2nd history. The old part of the city was very interesting. We were only there for an afternoon and evening, but what we saw, made us want to return.

This town was almost completely destroyed during the allied attack from Normandy beaches but a few buildings remain. William the Conquerors castle is worth a visit as are the two large churches and museum dedicated to world war 2.
Be prepared to be disappointed at the anti British sentiment on the posters in the church beside William’s castle commenting on the liberation of the town and its consequential destruction.
How wonderful to arrive at this beautiful guest house, hidden behind the large entrance doors in Falaise!
We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owners, who clearly love sharing their beautiful home with visitors to this historic town.
Our thoughtfully decorated room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep.
Breakfast was a delight and included freshly baked bread and a selection of home made jams. We highly recommend a stay at La Maison Des Buis!
A very good stop-over directly opposite a chateau (now used as workshops for artists in residence) on the N158 with parking immediately outside. The Hotel features a Michelin starred restaurant and, as you would expect, the breakfast (Euro10 pp) was outstanding. The bedroom itself was very neat and well-designed. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, remaining to accommodate our late-night arrival.
Our French host made us feel extremely welcome and explained about the history of the hotel, very slowly in French (because we're learning). The breakfast was wonderful & in really elegant surroundings.
The welcome and service was great.
