the hotel is clean and modern but I didn't like the design of the bathroom. Well, it’s still a matter of personal taste !

Location is great for walking around the city. Within 15 minutes you’ll find yourself by the dockside, where there are lots of bars and restaurants (and a cool craft brewery bar) to choose from.
Convenient for the main railway station and tram too.

The hotel did not give us a room, telling us they were "complet" when we tried to check in, despite the fact that we had a pre-paid reservation and arrived quite early. We had to find alternative accommodation in difficult circumstances.
We spent most of our time in Le Havre, which is a very interesting city with a good beach area. Because we were there for the Women's World Cup we spent most of our time on football-related activities which were great. Travelling from Le Havre to Gainneville is not easy, however -- the nearest rail is about a mile away, and trains start running around 7am and stop at about 9pm.
