The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were polite and very friendly. Our room was bright, clean and had everything we wanted. A big secure car park too. A supermarket, plus various restaurants are walking distance or close by. A perfect stop over - we were travelling with our dog too and he was welcomed!

A convenient place close to the English Channel for a stopover. Also close to the battle fields of World War One for those wanting to visit that area. The hotel, La Chatreuse du Val Esprit offers a range of good restaurants for residents and non-residents. Close to the motorway but not too close.
The reason we booked this place is because an on site restaurant was open on the Sunday evening. Our room was amazing value for money, massive room clean and tidy with a large en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The WC was separate. Very comfy bed with fresh sheets and towels and a well stocked mini bar. I have already booked again for our next trip in a couple of weeks.
Fabulous hotel, close to Bethune about 45 minutes from Le Shuttle. Beautiful surroundings and grounds with a lovely garden to walk round. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with plenty of original features.
The room was comfortable and spacious with modern facilities in a traditional setting.
There are 3 restaurants on site and dinner was enjoyable and 'French'.
We have stayed at this hotel many times whist travelling to and from the south of France. The hotel has remained very dependable with a choice of restaurants and good food, pleasant rooms and an attentive staff. The gardens are well worth visit. The hotel is well placed close to the A26 motorway but not too close.
Excellent service and great position if you are heading to (or driving from) Calais. Staff very polite and the structure is phenomenal . Rooms are spacious and the park surrounding the hotel/castle is fantastic.
We have stayed here before and everything was fine except it had been a really sunny day and the room was very hot as there is no air conditioning. Other than that all was good at hotel and restaurant
Very good breakfast which is taken in the adjoining partner hotel. Choice of three onsite restaurants for dinner - we enjoyed an excellent dinner in La Distillerie which had a fantastic log fire.
Great location, fantastic park, beautiful hotel. Staff very polite. Excellent food and service.
Overnight stay with a Bernese mountain dog. No problem at all bring the dog along.
annex part of the adjacent hotel. Nice big room and bathroom. Easy to find 5 mins off A26.
Bistro open Sunday night - always a bonus in France .
