The location was excellent for visiting Monets House and Gardens. Hotel atmospheric.

Given key to room 9 on arrival but with lots of stairs plus the rooms were on 2 floors with awkward stairs. Also the bedroom had no curtains and view to river not good.
Fortunately room 1 was available and so much better with good views of river. Very well refurbished plus a fridge and coffee maker making it ideal. Also close to Giverny.
The Hotel du Haut Marais is located in Saint-Marcel, a few minutes’ walk from the river and a 10-minute drive from Giverny. It offers free Wi-Fi internet access.

It was a bad experience. Our bill was messed up but has now been rectified. Bedrooms smelt of smoking.
