A very rustic town with a medieval vibe. Most people who visit Lourdes are Catholic Pilgrims (like us). You can see the faith of the visitors. The sanctuary offers a Torchlight Procession activity every evening which we found very moving.
The locals can understand English perfectly well.

Lourdes is great place to be, and get in touch with God and your faith, for spiritual renewal. It has many sites of spiritual significance and such activities too.
Its also a good place to rest from your busy life. Its main attractions are the spiritual side and thus the shopping centre offers a wide variety of products to complement them. It may be an ideal retreat for you. And mind you, it is a busy place all day every day, thats how much it is appreciated.

I love my Lourdes experience especially visiting the grotto and the church. I also love that my hotel room had a view of the river and the Lourdes sanctuary. We walked around the town most of the time. We found an Asian restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. It was a very memorable Easter for me.

The whole trip experience was good.
The whole trip experience was good. I was visiting the Lourdes sanctuary and was there for 2 days. I was staying close to the sanctuary. There were loads of restaurants available around the sanctuary. The coach is the economical way to travel from airport to city centre which cost 3 Euros one way.
There are no coaches available on Sunday and Bank holidays from the Lourdes sanctuary.

It's a very spiritual sanctuary.
It's a very spiritual sanctuary. I got more than I was expecting.
Nice restaurants at walking distances.
So easy to get around, and always people around willing to help you to get around.
Very clean, interesting, safe and family friendly town. I'm looking forward to come back in the near future
The hotel is lovely, easy to find, with very nice rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is amazing and they were beyond our expectations, they helped us with everything (recommending restaurants, giving us a map with the most visited points in Lourdes). We had a beautiful view from the room to the mountains, and there are also rooms with views to the river. The breakfast was also very good and full with a lot of things. Our stay at this hotel was one of the nicest, we strongly recommend it and we will come back for sure!
Staff were very friendly.
The hotel was also a short walk to the Grotto of Lourdes which made our pilgrimage very worthwhile.
There was also an Asian restaurant - Asian Delices, serving Filipino food which was just a few steps away from the hotel.
We visited Lourdes in mid Novemver which is the off-season for tourists so we could spend more time at the Grotto praying. The disadvantage was almost all shops and even hotels were closed so not much choices for outside eating or shopping.
It was a great location, very close to the Grotto. The room was lovely, it has everything you need and we were very lucky that our room had a beautiful view. The staff were excellent, we had an issue with the sink and they came and sorted it straight away. We had breakfast in the Hotel and it was very nice, they had a great selection, we also had a delicious meal on one of the nights. I will definitely return to this Hotel if staying in Lourdes again.
We liked that the host was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The location was great...5 minute walk to the train station, less than 15 minutes to the grotto at N.D. Lourdes Shrine. It is in an excellent location...we were there during the international military pilgrimage...tremendous numbers of people...but it was always very quiet on this street.
The hotel manager, Joseph, is unquestionably one of the friendliest fellows I’ve ever met at a hotel desk! I have been to Lourdes many times but never have I encountered quite such personable and genuinely open customer service. He is clearly a very well-liked man known to all in the surrounding area too. May God bless him abundantly!
Myrium was the most thoughtful, helpful, and customer welcoming hotel manager and owner we’ve ever met. It felt like staying in her beautiful home, with delicious breakfast and wonderful conversation about Lourdes events and English options. She even helped with English translation!
Once again another great stay at Elisio Hotel. Very comfortable spacious room with everything I had requested in place. Staff were very pleasant and helpful . Great choices at breakfast. Close & convenient to the Lourdes Domain & Grotto.
It was a good stay in this hotel. Room was so cleaned especially the bedsheet. Staff was so friendly including the one serving the breakfast. Staff reception very acommodating. And just 10 mins walk to Notre-Dame de Lourdes.
The hotel is only a few steps to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Location is excellent with good selection of restaurants nearby as well as shops for souvenirs. Hotel breakfast was good.
The hotel is superb. It is near the Lourdes Sanctuary and has all the basic necessities that you need in a comfortable stay. Elma has also been a very hospitable and friendly receptionist. :)
I was expecting a typical French 3* hotel. But the room was much better than expected. The lady at the reception was super nice and helpful. Well located at the entrance to the castle.
Fantastic helpful desk staff. Extremely close to Lourdes Cathedral and attractions, easily walkable. Lots close by cafés and tourist shops. Restaurant at the hotel has lovely food.
close to the St Joseph entrance at Lourdes
An easy walk to the grotto
the hotel is clean and comfortable
room for 3 was excellent and had upstairs loft with separate shower
This is probably the best hotel in lourdes. It is very clean, a little quirky, and the rooms are very pleasant. There is a restaurant on site as well as safe parking.
The Hotel was good, we all liked it, excellent location, and friendly staff. Highly recommended, and would not hesitate to book there if i visit Lourdes again.
