Chantal’s property is incredibly charming. We felt very connected to the history of the place. But despite being an historic building, it’s been fit out to a very high and modern standard. The property is in the middle of the countryside and from its garden you can see the beautiful views of the valley. The nearest town, Chinon, is a beautiful historic town and it’s only 10 minutes drive from the studio. Chantal herself was the perfect host and she made us feel at home during our stay. We would love to go back soon!

Fantastic location to relax, with Chinon a short drive away for restaurants and shopping. The property is very well maintained and modernised historic building with excellent grounds and facilities.... and surprisingly large! The hotel has just re-opened under new ownership. It has been very tastefully renovated. Excellent breakfast with local yoghurt and fromage blanc. Lovely flowers in communal areas. Agnes Sorel patio a great spot.
