The outside of the pension was nice.
Also the private parking was great and the breakfast although some eggs and 🥓 bacon would be grate.
Located at the start of the wine route of Alsace, the friendly and comfortable hotel L'Ours De Mutzig is located just 20 minutes from Strasbourg and 45 minutes from Colmar.

A very cozy hotel in the center of a picturesque town. There is free parking, a shop, a cafe and a restaurant nearby. The room was renovated. Very friendly staff.
Marlenheim is the start of the Alsace wine street and has...
Marlenheim is the start of the Alsace wine street and has the northernmost grand cru - Steinklotz. Both, big wine producers, such as Arthur Metz, and family-run wineries (Domaine Fritsch) can be found there. Marlenheim offers a walk through the town with a dozen of stops where you can read about the past, and also a nice stroll in the vineyards. Wineries, bakery, butcher shop - everything can be reached within 10 min. walk. For more substantial shopping, a big supermarket is in the outskirts. Marlenheim has several restaurants popular among the locals. Overall, Marlenheim offers a 100 % alsatian stay while being away from the mass tourism.
Fabrizia and Benoit are excellent hosts, taking care of every detail. The apartment is in the middle of the small town, but windows are facing a quiet street. The interior is stylish, well preserved and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. A mid-sized pool is in a beautiful garden. The bus stops in front of the house and takes you to Strasbourg. The bakery and boucherie are 5 min. on foot, a big supermarket is in 1.5 km. Marlenheim boasts the northernmost grand-cru in Alsace, the family-owned winery Domaine Fritsch is 5 min. on foot.
Modern hotel with traditional appearance was neat and clean. Dinner and breakfast was included in my selection. Dinner was fine and served in the bar. The more elegant dining room shown in the listing is used only for Sunday brunch. The sleeping room was well laid out and pleasant though without much character. The ground floor where restaurant and bar are located can be reached by steps or a wheelchair ramp. But all sleeping rooms can only be reached by stairs.
We were upgraded to a large suite! This place has a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff are charming. The big bonus is the restaurant which is not cheap but served excellent food. Make sure to book a table when booking the hotel because the restaurant is very popular.
The location is a local traditional hotel with a correct price/quality ratio.
The restaurant is good and the staff is helpfull and friendly
The parking is spacious and the location is close to the center and not far away from the industrial area
It was wonderful to have a hotel where we could bring our old dog everywhere and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant meals were excellent and parking was very easy. It's a lovely place to explore the local wineries.
Lovely place, there’s care and thought in every detail! Very comfortable, we almost wanted to stay longer in Marlenheim, just to enjoy a bit more of this b&b.
The family room is clean and big.
We were staying here for visiting Strasbourg, and it's between 20-30 min drive from the hotel, which is a nice distance.
