Despite the rain, you could tell Montségur is a wonderful and intruiging village with the castle dominating on top of the hill. The village is really quiet and has some nice restaurants such as La Patate qui Fume. You can also make some great walks in the surrounding nature.JohanGentBelgium

This small guesthouse is everything you’d imagine. It’s perfectly restored - a traditional rural French house - exposed beams, traditional tiling, open fireplace, the rooms are simply but nicely furnished, bathroom was spotless, plenty of hot water. John the host is a real character and incredibly helpful. For meals everyone sat at the same table so a real sense of pilgrimage and friendly atmosphere. I was so relaxed here. Thoroughly recommend.

Ragnhild is an exceptional hostess. She was always available and she informed us about amazing sights to visit. You can't miss a visit to her weaving workshop, right in front of the house (children can knit!), and taste the bio bread of the village bakery! We hope to come back soon! Thank you, Ragnhild.

Located in the center of Montsegur, it is a walkable distance to the Montsegur castle. There is a good restaurant in town where a reservation is needed - note that it is closed on Sunday night and a meal is offered by the B&B upon request. Highly recommended.

Our host was very welcoming and told us all about his bees. A quiet spot with not much to do unless you are a keen walker. A haven of peace and quiet for 3 nights.

The location is perfect in Montsegur, very convenient to town and to the castle, and a lovely garden to sit in with mountain views.
