Cucugnan is a charming hillside village, but easily accessible and a great area for walking, touring and wine tasting. There are many historical attractions, (Queribus and Peryperteuse castles) in the area. My snug, en-suite double room was very clean and comfortable, with its own door to the terrace and stunning views. There are several bistros nearby serving excellent food. The host is very friendly and helpful for walking advice. The host serves a substantial continental breakfast and chats with the guests. I stayed two enjoyable nights
Auberge du Vigneron is a century old, former wine storehouse located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It offers guest rooms with original stone walls, and a terrace overlooking the valley.

We loved staying here. Tiny hillside village. The hotel was charming, host very helpful, room lovely with panoramic views, atmospheric on site restaurant with world class food. All fabulous.

Theo, our host, could not have been more accommodating. He collected us from town, and took us back the next morning, he prepared an excellent dinner for all the guests, and was friendly and very welcoming. Very nice location overlooking the town and valley below.
Featuring garden views, Lodge en Pays Cathare in Tuchan features accommodation, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

Hiked in on the GR367 and stayed in a safari tent. Everything was great, no complaints and would easily stay here again. Vegetarian pizza was very good.
Nestled in the centre of Tuchan in the Corbières, our B&B offers an outdoor seasonal pool, private not overlooked walled garden with various relaxing and eating areas, all with a view of Mont Tauch.

Lovely cool room with excellent but silent air conditioning. Host offered evening meal when it was discovered that all restaurants in village closed.

Best bed an breakfast!! Corinne is the nicest hostess ever, and you'll feel very welcome here. Only 3 rooms, but all seemed nice. Very clean, great beds, spacious room and no noise. Breakfast was lovely and all homemade, organic and just fantastic! There's even room for a car in the garage, which is very welcome in an old village with narrow and steep streets! Cucugnan is close to several of the Cathar castles, beautiful mountains and gorges. I think Cucugnan can be quite touristy, but in the middle of September it was perfect and no problem getting a table at one of the local restaurants. We were at the neighbouring Auberge the first night and Le Petit Gourmand the other 2 nights. Both of them super nice. I can only give my highest recommendation!!
