I was delighted to revisit this Campanile, as it is without doubt the best I have known. At first sight, the room appears to be “standard” Campanile, but then one notices the extra pillows on a shelf, and the fully tiled walk-in shower. The management had even defied corporate policy and provided a toilet brush! The standard, generous work space had a superior angle-poise lamp, and the bedside lights were bright enough to supplement the rather subdued Campanile oval room light.
But it is when visiting the restaurant that the superiority of this Campanile becomes evident. The staff were plentiful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Escargots were offered as a starter, properly presented in their shells, and with the correct implements for removing them – I have never seen these on a Campanile menu anywhere else. The dos de cabillaud was delicious, and finally their “pièce de resistance” – the Crème Brûlée was flambéed at the table. They were also able to offer a brandy with the coffee at the end of the meal.
This is a very special Campanile, and I shall visit it whenever I am passing through Beaune.

Charming town just outside of Beaune in Burgundy. Situated in the rolling vineyards of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, Pommard offers easy access to exploring this world-renowned wine region. Bike hire is available locally and a surprisingly good restaurant in the village means you don't have to travel far if you don't want to! A visit to the Armand Heitz cellar door with guided tour is an absolute must and a real gem.

The town of Pommard is very small and quiet.
The town of Pommard is very small and quiet. There is not much to do in the town itself. I would recommend seeing the Chateau de Pommard and doing the wine tasting there. The lovely and LIVELY town of Beaune is only a short drive away (less than 15 minutes) so Pommard makes for an excellent town to retreat to and get a good nights rest after spending the day touring Cote de Beaune.

Pommard is a lovely village that is clean, safe and well...
Pommard is a lovely village that is clean, safe and well cared for. it is very convenient for Beaune, which is both attractive and lively, as well as for the classic wine communes of Mersault, Volnay etc. with numerous chateaux to visit. Pommard has local shops for the basics and a small selection of restaurants, the best of which is Aupres Clocher that has recently been taken over by a young couple who serve an interesting and well presented menu. The square is small but attractive and there are several wine bars dotted around the village that offer good wines and the opportunity to purchase if you wish to do so. There is an excellent wine shop that showcases Pommard wines in particular and they are very knowledgeable, helpful and not at all pushy. This area is fantastic for all types of cycling whether you are looking to tour a bit and sightsee or you fancy longer more serious rides. Walking is also popular. Excellent base and a friendly relaxed place to stay.
Charming small property on lovely vineyards and gardens; in the small vintners village of Pommard. Walking distance from several wineries and tasting rooms. Kind and responsive staff fulfilled every request with a smile. We loved the excellent dinner and though we skipped breakfast they made us cappuccinos and croissants before departure
Perfect place for a tour to Burgundy. Pommard is a nice little place in the centre of the wine area. This place is a good base for a cosy stay. The owners are friendly and helpful. Pommard has a few restaurants and good wine shops, and is close to everything. This place is well equipped, cosy and has good facilities.
Pommard is a beautiful part of the world which the property brought to life with picturesque views of the vineyards on its doorstep. The hosts are super attentive, the community welcoming and plenty to do and see from Dijon to Beaune (and everything in between!).
The location in the heart of Pommard was ideal for us, working in the wine business. Proximity to the bicycle route will be ideal when we return during the warmer months. The design of the building was sumptuous offering calm, luxury and aesthetic pleasure.
- very friendly and helpful hosts
- decorated with taste
- everything looks new
- cozy private bourgondian cellar that we used several times
- located in the quiet Pommard, and near to the center of Beaune
- bakery and butcher nearby

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It was so comfortable, well decorated and the staff were amazing. The owners were there to welcome us and they made our honeymoon amazing. If I ever go back to Beanue, I would only stay here.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout. The hotel is attractive, and very well placed if you are driving down through France or wish to visit the vineyards or Beaune. Breakfast was delicious. A real treat throughout.
Really comfortable, well equipped apartment with a nice private outside space too. Bags of character and right in the centre of Pommard with a parking space and just 40 metres from the boulangerie. Perfect.
La maison Pommard was magical! Highly recommend if you are going to the Burgundy region. Everything is close by and everyone at la Maison was kind and welcoming. A home away from home!
