It is an interesting Breton city with an old centre in which many buildings are preserved. There are plenty of restaurants, a multitude of crêperies and cafés as well as shops supplying various produce in a wide range of consumer needs and wants. The Saint Corentin Cathedral, Musée des Beaux Arts, Breton Museum and various gardens all provide the opportunity for the visitor to appreciate the culture and history of Quimper. If staying in the centre everywhere is within a walkable distance.

Plenty of good food (not only crepes, but a large variety of those.) Worth going beyond just the tourist areas (the Cathedral & the Market) for better value & variety. Quimper is an interesting place with decent bars and restaurants history and architecture. Great access to Finistere and the coast. The apartment was in Locmaria district a quirky neighbourhood with its own character and nightlife just a 15 minute stroll into the centre where we ate decent French cuisine and also ate well at Mama Thai as the name suggests it was was Thai food but of the highest order

Attractive historic town with great museums and galleries, cathedral, river walks and gardens but not too touristy (in June 2022). Close to other lovely towns eg Concarneau and Pont Aven plus routes to coastal scenery.

Very modern and spacious apartment in the historic center near the cathedral and the museum. Everything is within walking distance. Friendly communication with our host Laurine for the key handover. She guided us to a private parking spot near the apartment. We were also treated with some gifts: fresh brioche, butter, wine and juice, very attentive. I'd definitely book this again if we'd visit Quimper again.

It is also spacious and perfectly designed. And the location is fantastic, just 50 meters from the cathedral. The free parking Tourbie is just a few hundred meters away, and on the adjacent streets there is a good chance to find parking as well, though it is paid.
