We had a fabulous time at Malis Castera! It was our favourite place we stayed during our time in France (we wish we could have stayed another night). The rooms are perfect- spacious, comforable and decorated so well. The food was home cooked and incredible too. We highly recommend staying here.

Stunning location, quiet but with all the amenities that you need. The host was so genuine and happy to help us and just wanted to make sure we had an incredible time. Yet equally we felt like we were in our own space and not being hassled at all. Such a careful and fine balance. Great place to explore the local vineyards, local restaurants are incredible. Room was large with kitchen and everything we needed.

Very comfortable, great breakfast and excellent car park. Didn’t need it myself, but they had an electric charging point. The free wine tasting next door was brilliant 🍷😊

loved St Emillion. Hotel was in the center and easy to walk to everything. Staff was very good and friendly.

Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac has one or two restaurants but not...
Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac has one or two restaurants but not much else within comfortable walking distance of the hotel. we used this as convenient location for St Emilion some 12km away, and as we had transport this was fine. Once a week (Thursdays on our visit) a food van/trailer turns up doing great burgers on the roundabout going south after the river. The hotel is at the rivers edge and free parking is available across the road.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The castle itself is gorgeous and it looks out onto the river which is also beautiful. We stayed in the private apartment and it was exceptional — large, comfortable, clean, well stocked kitchen. Breakfast every day was truly amazing, so many choices and the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The host makes this property amazing — she is so kind and helpful with recommendations and just a delight to talk to. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Thank you for such a great stay!
The chateau is much nicer than the picture. Spacious ,modern and fancy room which I love. All the furniture in our room and this château isn’t cheap, really good quality. It really made us feeling fancy at the hotel. Outside patio is fantastic too, we enjoyed welcome drink there, glass of rose. Would definitely come back!
Just a stop over and normally only book hotels but room had ensuite and a very french property on river. We did not use restaurant across road but it was very popular. Host was lovely. We could not buy anything due to public holiday so she sat down with us and produced some beer. Lovely lady.
We enjoyed our stay at the hôtel/château. We booked a room for one night. We enjoyed the clean and spacious room, living room, garden, terrace. We had a nice view on the Dordogne river. Very quiet and peaceful. The host was welcoming and made us feel very at ease. Thank you!
