We enjoyed a quiet room with a comfortable bed after a day of cycling. The bikes were securely stored on the premises. The breakfast was not included, but worth the price.

After a very long day on the road, arriving at Le Clos de la Charodnniere was the perfect antidote. You drive down an old track running through a wildflower meadow and pull in to a small grass covered parking space. The large house rises up behind a high hedge, you walk through the garden to the entrance where you are met by the lovely couple who own the house. They are charming and welcoming and Maria the dog is beyond gorgeous! The house is obviously a family home and filled with an eclectic collection of art and antiques. My spacious room on the first floor had views of the garden and an enormous and beautiful old Plane tree… There are lovely views from each room,either of the garden or of the famous village of Mirmande - well worth a visit to this village which is listed as one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”. I wish I could have stayed longer…
