Rural scenic and completely out in nature, great location for my bike packing trip through the mountains with wonderful staff, who kindly cleaned my cycling kit.
The dinner was average but the breakfast was lovely.

I stayed on a night when it seemed the whole village had come to dinner, plus there were three folk singers singing a cappella. There was all you could eat (and, it seemed, all you could drink) included in the dinner price, and the dining was communal with a place laid out for guests on the long tables (there were another five or six long tables outside). It got sing-songy around 10.30, but all was quiet by midnight. I doubt this was a typical experience, but I'd definitely return again. The breakfast was equally generous, though a lot more quiet. This was a stay as an event.

Our stay was far better than expected! Karine and Gilles were very welcoming with us! We were in 4 people, the room was spacious, the bathroom was big and new, beds were very comfortable and the food... amazing. We opted to have dinner in the auberge and it was the best decision we could've made! Home made food that felt like grandmas house, definitely something you don't usually get while travelling. It was everything we needed! Will definitely be back for the winter season next time we're in Europe!

Is a cozy house, the owners are very friendly and serve delicious food. The rooms are basic but more than enough. La Mongie is 10 minutes away. I will definitely repeat when I return through this area . I enjoyed my stay.

If you like mountains this is a lovely area, which quite a few walks and activities very close by, off the Tourmalet pass road or a bit further up the valley (canyoning, Via Ferrata, Tree-top adventure parks, paraglider etc). For hikers and cyclists, it's a brilliant area. You may end up having to return to Bagnères-de-Bigorre quite a few times for shops or cash, but it's not that far.

Quiet rural location with wonderful staff and food. Easy parking outside the Hotel. Great value home cooked dinner and breakfasts provided. Loved we could sit outside on the front terrace and enjoy a pot of tea or a drink. Friendly atmosphere encourages the meeting of different travellers - hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. It’s a beautiful quiet part of France to visit with many scenic drives and hikes nearby.
THE ROOM WAS LARGE AND SPACIOUS THE HOTEL WAS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE. WE TOOK THE EVENING MEAL OPTION WHICH WAS A GOOD THING AS THERE WAS ONLY A SMALL VILLAGE DOWN THE ROAD AND WE WOULD HAVE STRUGGLED FOR FOOD. THE BREAKFAST WAS CONTINENTAL AND VERY NICE. THE STAFF AND OWNERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY WITH ONLY A LIMITED AMOUNT OF ENGLISH BUT WE GOT BY.
The hotel was a perfect location in Sainte-Marie-de-Campan. The room was very comfortable but didn’t seem that clean. We had dinner at the restaurant which was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was safe space to store our bicycles overnight. Would definitely recommend for cyclists and travelers passing through
I was travelling by bike with limited luggage.
Hotel had a bike storage area.( of course )
Our host was very friendly and helpfull. a very enjoyable person.
perfect dinner options and a nice breakfast.
unfortunately I did not bring a swimming suit and could not enjoy the pool. :-)
This hotel is just PERFECT. We stayed over 2 nights to explore the area and cycle the col du Tourmalet, the experience was great. There is a bike rental and repair service on site, plus you can also store them safely during the stay. Wifi works well, the breakfast fine
Staff is awesome. We speak zero french. I'm so amazed by the Europeans ability to communicate with many different cultures. This is the case here at the hotel. Very friendly. A very typical French breakfast too.
Lovely people and small hotel at the foot of the ski village ( 10 mins)
Very accomadating and friendly family run operation just what I like. Easy bar tab and nothing is too much trouble! Bravo
This is a very nice small hotel, conveniently located under Col de Tourmalet and the La Mongie ski area. The proprietor and staff are very friendly. The dinner served at the hotel was great.
Friendly family-run hotel, clean and comfortable, a good place to stay if you want to explore the main sites like Cirque de Gavarnie and Pic du Midi :)
