Uzes is a cute town and the hotel is in an excellent location and setting- both location and decor The staff on reception and breakfast were very helpful and the welcome information was very useful.

Spotlessly clean, bright and airy. Rooms and all public areas were immaculate. We received a warm welcome and service around the exceptional breakfast selection was homely, as if nothing was too much trouble.
Situated in the centre of Uzès, you will enjoy the charms of this typical Provence region style hotel. The Hostellerie Provençale and its staff are pleased to welcome you.

A mas full of character dating from 16 th century - in which Martine has collected so many interesting and unique antiques and bric a brac. Our room was large and comfortable and the continental breakfast at a long table was more enjoyable than the usual separate tables. Martine is an enthusiastic hostess with many tales to tell. Will appeal to those looking for something out of the ordinary. The staff were very friendly.

A picture book medieval walled village with beautiful open places, cafes, bar’s, restaurants, galleries, shopping, 2 cathedrals, and a resident Duke! The Saturday market is a big event with all sorts of traders from pottery, clothing, handcrafts, to wine, cheeses and locally grown produce. Wednesday market is more produce. The village has a beautiful park with Roman ruins and water spring being the source of the Pont du Gard which is 14 kms away … there is a bike track which follows the aqueduct. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as specialty shops and galleries. It is a great location for exploring the area.

A pretty unspoilt town which does not feel like a tourist trap. Lots of local restaurants used by local people. Very good value for money. We loved Le Bec Fin, La Parenthese at the Hostellerie Provencale, Ma Cantine, Terroirs and Trattoria Bettina et Bettino. Great variety of shops selling unusual things. Fantastic art galleries. Excellent car park so close to the centre of town. Fabulous Saturday market. A town in which you can stroll morning, afternoon and nighttime and always see something different. Super park if you travel with a dog!

It’s a beautiful old historic town with lots of nice restaurants and shops. The nature around it is gorgeous, there are also lovely villages nearby, not to mention Pont du Gard which is a win for when you travel with dogs.
We had a long lunch at Chez des Amis, parking is easy in Uzes. We stayed at Mas des Lilas, there is an old walking path from Mas des Lilas into Uzes.
What is horrendous are the mosquitoes, they are an aggressive bunch. But that is not just Uzes that’s the whole of southern Europe. We went to Italy on this trip as well and it was the same.

Uzes is a family favourite since we were introduced to it about 10 years ago. It is a gem of a city. Excellent food. Friendly locals. Great wine. Lots to see and do both in the town and in nearby villages.
In terms of eating/drinking the areas around the town square - Place aux Herbes -are pretty average.
Avoid all of it, with the exception of Terroirs which has very nice food, their wine by the glass is not so great but if you order a bottle you'll be fine.
Generally the best dining is on the ring road - specifically Rue Gambetta and blvd Charles Gide.
This year we discovered two outstanding places.
Usage, 6 Boulevard Gambetta, Open every day but Sunday. Wonderful fine french dining, reasonably priced
also for fantastic wine try
Copains Comme Cochon, 5, boulevard Charles Gide, open daily - fantastic sharing platters and the best tomato salad I've ever eaten.
Also Comptoir du 7, 7 blvd Charles Gide, considered to be the best restaurant in Uzes. Its pricey but nice. We didn't go this time.

Very pretty medieval town that had many small streets,...
Very pretty medieval town that had many small streets, cathedral and small shops to explore. Lovely square full of restaurants in the centre of the town, with the restaurants either under the arches of palisaded stone buildings or canopies, all around trees that were covered in twinkly lights at night. Great range of menus at reasonable prices.
Usez is only 10 mins drive from the Pont du Gard which is well-worth a visit. Parking there is 9€ Flat rate for your stay but we’ll-worth the cost: take your swim wear, towels and lunch to enjoy a swim in the the refreshing river after exploring the Roman aqueduct & museum.
Many local wineries nearby selling very good wine at reasonable prices, with tasting possible.
Easy access from Usez to other small medieval towns nearby.
Great location for exploring the area. We’d only booked 1 night at our accommodation but wished we could stay longer.
This apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay in Uzès. It is large and bright and even more lovely than in the photos! The rooms are spacious and there is a terrace that is perfect for sitting outside in the sun. The kitchen is fully equipped and the apartment was spotless. It was super easy to collect the keys and to hand them back at the end of our stay. The owners and caretaker were very pleasant and helpful. We hope to stay in this beautiful apartment again when we next visit Uzès.
We arrived much later than announced as the car broke down on the highway. The hotel called us to confirm our arrival and left instructions as the reception would be closed. The garage entrance door was broken but the instructions were crystal clear on what to do; they really tried to make the effort to make our arrival easy and smooth as it was late at night. This was much appreciated. Thank you!
Quiet location on edge of town. Well maintained accommodation. Breakfast on the terrace, with home made yoghurt and fruit salad, choice of egg, bread and croissants. Private pool shared with other 2 guests. Less than 10 minutes walk into town. Large walk-in shower. Refreshingly welcome pool. Very amenable hosts. English spoken.
Great location. Loved the room which was spacious and well designed. A great place to relax in beautiful surroundings. The host went beyond our expectations. Very discreet. Uzes is beautiful and the room (more like an apartment) is located a very short walking distance from restaurants and the old centre.
This is a Great choice if you spend couple of days in Uzes. The apartment is stylish and spacious and it has a Great location just next to old town center. Parking in Uzes is limited, so the owner is also offering a parking place in the nearby underground parking hall.
This is a wonderful apartment located in a quiet street just off the main square in Uzes. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Isabella is super sweet and probably the nicest host we have ever met during our travels. Highly recommended.
An elegant and stylish small hotel beautifully run by Alex and Gwillaume. Uzes is a gorgeous city and this hotel reflects everything about it. The location is perfect. Breakfast is served in a garden room and is delicious
A very comfortable stay in a lovely clean hotel.
The room was very comfortable with a good shower in the en-suite.
Clean swimming pool. Good breakfast with a good choice.
We loved our stay in this lovely apartment in Uzes. Decorated beautifully, very comfortable, had everything we need. Really super hosts made for a fun and memorable stay.
Incredibly accommodating host. Our flight was late and she stayed late to meet us which was incredibly kind. Wonderful location central uzes. 2-4 min walk to old town.
Perfect location and was equipped with everything you need! So quiet yet a short walk to everything Uzes has to offer. Highly recommend this accommodation.
