Try to visit the Llyn at least once a year, and stay as close to Aberdaron as possible (within budget). Geoff's place was perfect for this and then some. Booked it rather spontaneously and didn't notice that breakfast was included so that was a very pleasant surprise! Home cooked and very tasty, Geoff had even found some veggie sausages for us. The location was up a little lane that we'd never explored before but easy to find and with parking :)

When we entered the property we found it be unclean. It was very dusty and had dog hair on surfaces. The sponges in the sink were not replaced and instead were old and used sponges. We found ourselves quite uncomfortable due to being in an unclean place. There was an unpleasant smell in the caravan also. When we tried to shower in the morning, it was ice cold. We attempted to cook using the facilities but the ignition would not work on the cooker.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a week’s stay in North Wales. It was the perfect spot in which to relax as it is away from the crowds and has a lovely beach. There are a couple of hotels, and one or two gift shops. We stayed and ate at the Ty Gwesty. There appeared to be coastal walks from the village but we didn’t do them.

Aberdaron is a small village at the end of the Llyn...
Aberdaron is a small village at the end of the Llyn peninsula, with a beautiful beach and lots of history, being on the ancient pilgrim route to Bardsey Island. Do visit the 12th Century church of St Hywyn right by the beach. For a small place the local facilities are very good - 2 hotels with good restaurants (stayed at both and recommend both of them), a chippy whch serves lobster and crab, 2 cafes (one in a 9th century building), a bakery with tempting treats and an ice-cream and pizza shop by the beach (recommend their pizzas!)

Absolutely stunning views, a few local shops, the bakery has a lovely selection of cakes and pies and the staff are so helpful. The little cafe in the village is very hit and miss as to when its open, diesnt seem to have any regular opening hours. Both pubs in the village are welcoming we only ate at gwesty, would recommend booking in advanced as gets busy in peak times, especially the terrace with the views overlooking the sea. Will most definitely be back to aberdaron 👍👍👍
The hotel, restaurant and terrace areas where extremely well looked after and had been upgraded during covid. The location is superb and sitting on the covered terrace during late afternoon was extremely pleasant. The food in the restaurant was also very good and well priced. Drinks were the same. Saving the best element until last; the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. They work ever so hard to make sure that guests have a covid safe environment and an enjoyable experience. Highly enjoyable and definitely recommended.
We were put in room 1 which had a lovely sea view. The staff were great. The rooms were clean and airy. You have to book in for dinner because in the evening , there are limited places to eat. The food was excellent. I would definitely visit this beautiful little village time and time again. Aberdaron is very compact but provides Everything you need for a lovely slow paced holiday. The beach is about 10 metres from the hotel and there are some lovely cliff top walks too.
A lovely relaxing pub/hotel right on the beach front in Aberdaron. Modern, spacious rooms were very comfortable. Beautiful views over to Bardsey Island. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in their restaurant (fresh fish special and a lovely chicken dish) and the full Welsh breakfast and choice of items from the breakfast menu was great too. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, a great overnighter at a great price.
Loved being right on Aberdaron’s spectacular beach —fantastic view and so convenient. Room was extremely pleasant, as was the bathroom. All the employees at Ty Newydd couldn’t have been more helpful or more cheerful. Food was also very good, and the restaurant’s outdoor patio hanging over the beach was fabulous.
Beautifully restored and maintained property, very spacious and comfortable. Friendly host. 30-45 minute walk from Aberdaron. Bus stop very close by has a daily service to Plas-yn-Rhiw and Pwllheli at about 11am, the return in afternoon/early evening is to Aberdaron. Well-stocked supermarket in Aberdaron.
Lovely hotel with a pub and restaurant in the heart of town with beautiful views of the sea! We enjoyed every single, delicious meal there and were treated so kindly by the staff and owner, Alun. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable with large bathrooms.
Breakfast and Dinner were good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotels position in the village was perfect. Free parking was another bonus. Drinks prices were good. The room size was really good. The room was cleaned really well.
Good access to points of interest. Great base for exploring. Aberdaron isn't far away for additional amenities..... great chippy ;-)
Two great viewpoints (hills) in walking distance to take in the Aura and Ambience of the peninsula.
The location overlooking Aberdaron beach was perfect, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was very good. A very enjoyable stay.
The food at the Ship hotel is really good, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, but above all the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
