Almondsbury Inn & Lounge, hotel in Almondsbury

Set in a prime location on the outskirts of Bristol, Almondsbury Inn & Lounge offers en suite accommodation, free parking and a bar.

Always a great stay at the Almondsbury Interchange, great location on the edge of the City, close to motorway's but I have never heard the road noise and is great for a quick get away! Staff brilliant and breakfast smashing (except the scrambled eggs! suspect this is powdered and not real eggs!) sausages mighty fine

Bowl Inn, hotel in Almondsbury

This historic inn offers great accommodation, excellent food, fine wines and real ales. The rooms and bathrooms at Bowl Inn have recently been refurbished, and all feature a Freeview TV.

Very cosy pub , friendly staff , loved our room , our room had a toilet pump unfortunately which I'm guessing can't be helped as I guess the waste pipes must be uphill, every now and again it would kick in very loud , doesn't effect me as I'm a deep sleeper but my Mrs woke a few times due to it. So maybe if u wake easily check that you get a room without a waste water pump system . Food was fantastic, will deffonatly stay again. They catered for gluten free too for my Mrs, I think they should invest in an actual gluten free menu to put out to customers to save time on working out what people who can't consume gluten are able to purchase. Very reasonably priced drinks especially being so close to Bristol. Thanks guys.

Dreadful link to the local taxi service.

Dreadful link to the local taxi service. The one booked never showed up so I had to drive to central Bristol and pick my car up in the morning. Ruined the timing for the following day. No matter that the hotel does not control the taxi service, they MUST get a reliable link. Cannot afford to risk the same thing again so am forced to go elsewhere. Pity.

The small village is a great place to stay.

The small village is a great place to stay. There’s a real community vibe to the village. A community shop staffed by volunteers provides a decently priced and wide array of products. The church is lovely. On a couple of occasions I needed information and locals went to great lengths to assist me. The bell ringing practice on Monday night was unexpected, but that shows the level of community involvement. That was the only noise I heard apart from usual pub interactions which weren’t too bad.

I stayed as a drop off point to Cardiff from Central England. Glad I did. Was really cheap but everything was above expectations. I usually use premier inn and this hotel was every bit as good. Highly recommended.

Since I was going on a business it was ok. As this is the second time this year that I have left the isle of Man and travelled to England, and had poor or medioca hotel and restreaunt/cafe service, I am comming to the conclusion that ,since the end of covid, much of the Englsh hospitality industry is hell bent on recovering their losses, that they want to srew as much money as possible out of clients, not caring too much about the service they offer. I am jolly glad when leaving the Island, I had a good breakfast on the ferry, not waiting until I arrived in England for a meal.

Almondsbury is just outside Bristol, but it felt further out into the country. Pretty village with a beautiful old church with an amazing Inn next door. Wonderful views across to the River Severn and across to Wales. Very easy to find.

Beautifully refurbished hotel with modernised interior and parking place next to it at no extra cost. Excellent food at breakfast and diner time. The location is close to the main road, which gives some traffic noise but not a lot. With closed windows it can't be heard. The room is spacious and clean, looks very modern, has airco and thick curtains. Excellent value for money.

Great value for money. Rooms clean and a modern twist on a traditional English building. Several warm options to choose from for breakfast (we went for Eggs Benedict and it was really nice). Good location for Bristol and surrounding areas (if driving). We decided to have dinner at the Bowel Inn and were not dissappinted. Portions and quality of dinner were great.

Cozy pub with rooms in small village setting. Parking opposite. Rooms great with comfy king size bed. Bathroom small but fine for a few nights. Very nice menu selection for both breakfast and lunch/ dinner. We had breakfast and dinner on the 3 days we stayed and everything was delicious. My gluten free needs accommodated with ease. Well run pub - lovely staff.

it’s an old inn but everything is redone and very nice inside. the staff was friendly and welcoming. good and drinks were great. plus location off the highway can’t be beat but you still get a small town feeling. If you follow the path out the back of the church up a steep hill you get to a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. highly recommend the bowl inn.

Friendly staff who added a bit of a personal touch made for a great start and end to our brief stay. The room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed, although a hair dryer would have been handy. Clean spacious bathroom was just what we wanted. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel both of which were both fab!

The hotel was a budget hotel and for that was okay. Furnishings and fittings were tired and dated. The breakfast was good for a buffet style and plenty of it. Beware cad only, no cash. Was not informed of this.
