Lovely staff, clean room with very comfortable double bed.
Actually I have stayed here 3 times now as a solo business traveller, and each time I have been impressed by the large clean bedroom with all the facilities I need.
On the A619, just off junction 30 of the M1 motorway, the hotel makes a great base from which to visit the Peak District, Sheffield and Nottinghamshire, with free parking and comfortable en suite...

The room was very comfortable n warm with a lovely view of some beautiful trees. I took advantage of the en-suite bath, just what I needed to relax n unwind after a stressful journey. The food is delicious. A very generous portion of fish n chips with all the trimmings. It was great to get a vegetarian breakfast option, which was delicious n very filling. I arrived very late for a wedding which was cancelled n postponed. However, the staff made my stay very pleasant n enjoyable.

The big size of the room and the wet room bathroom was good plus having an opening window and room thermostat control
The entrance / bar and lounge areas were attractive
Downside- room on the ground floor with car parking used by contractors right outside and within earshot of very noisy 5am services vehicles ( n 102)
A magnifying shaving/ make up mirror in the bathroom would be useful

A beautiful property, luxurious bedroom and bathroom (I think I was upgraded). Lovely, helpful staff, thanks also to those behind the scenes who made up my room. A quiet, spread out dining area with tasty food. Breakfast included. A romantic retreat if ever I saw one and tasteful Christmas decorations lending themselves to the general ambiance. I'd definately visit again if I was in the area :)

The hall and staff were exceptional.
The hall and staff were exceptional. Felt spoilt to be there in lovely surroundings with beautiful decor and so clean and well maintained. I can’t wait to stay again. Breakfast was also lovely, so well presented and then hot breakfast cooked to order. So impressed. Kirtstie reception manager was fantastic. Spoke to us at length as we loved the building. Printed history of it for us and gave us a tour of poinent historical areas. First class enthusiastic member of staff. Thank you.
I was only here for one night, but it was a very nice stay and I would come back when I am working in the area. The room is a good size, comfortable bed etc.. There is electric car charging available, for free, which was my main requirement for choosing this hotel initially. There is a single 7kW socket plus an adjacent 13amp plug socket. I charged my car and then moved it to free the space for another guest. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good too.
Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. our room was bigger than we’d expected and was absolutely immaculately clean. All staff were so lovely- couldn’t do enough to help you. There’s a restaurant serving good quality food and the breakfast has something for everyone. We would recommend and definitely stay there again.
The staff were all very friendly and provided excellent service even though they must have been under pressure as the hotel was very busy. The bed was comfortable. The grounds were lovely to walk around and the hotel is in an excellent location near to the M1 and our destination, which was Sheffield.
I had a superior room in the hotel. It was lovely, large and comfortable and well kitted out.
Staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Food was very nice.
Car Park was large and spacious, and only minutes from the main M1
