I attended Wildes for my daughters wedding and stayed the night, the staff were absolutely wonderful and very polite and helpful.
The stay was comfortable and the room was very roomy and clean

I went to see Cresswell Craggs, about 15 minutes away.
I went to see Cresswell Craggs, about 15 minutes away. This is so far the only place in the UK where you can see Paleolithic rock art - not quite Lascaux or Altamira yet but future excavations may find more examples. Nice museum/shop with good cafe and a fine day out. Lovely scenery.

Ordered vegetarian breakfast but no available the second day as no one had let the kitchen know.
Really awful was the wagons parked up within 30 feet of the window that kept their engines running for hours. No sleep till they left.

Superb stopover location with easy access to M1- the accommodation was as expected clean affordable efficiency with no formalities with welcoming staff and greet bar area to "chill out" after a long journey.

The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfy and the room clean. Great for a one night stay. We had the room with a private bathroom. This wasn't an issue at all there were other guests staying we didn't hear or see them upstairs at any point. Infact we only knew about them at breakfast. We were a little later going for breakfast but nothing was too much trouble and it was a better breakfast than the 5 star hotel I had stayed at the previous week for work!
I have started to stay here at least once a week and booked on the day. I asked for a room where the radiator would work and a lovley member of staff chose a room and put the radiator on for me before my arrival. What a thoughtful thing to do. I also liked that side of the hotel as its nice and quiet and away from the deliveries which can be early in the morning.
The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in largely due, I would say, to the mattress topper under the sheets. Most hotels, including top range ones, usually just have a hard divan base with a mattress slung on top. Very comfy and clean as was the rest of the room.
Greeted and helped from moment I arrived. Clean hotel and clean room. Large shower and water hot. Nothing fancy but for a one night stay so close to M1 it couldn't have been better. No noise at night. Within 50m was a McDonalds and a Harvester.
Staff were very helpful and the room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is excellent and much better than hotels of superior quality.
