A nice village for essentials but no family type pubs for eating. most pubs etc closed for food at 7-00pm which is no good after a day out further afield or after swimming at tea time. the leisure centre was lovely, clean and reasonably priced.

The staff were very friendly and so were the locals.
Our room 4 was nicely decorated and furnished, clean and comfortable. It looked onto the rear of the pub which made it quiet.
The bed was really comfy with good quality linen. The bathroom was compact but adequate.
Breakfast was nice could have done with slightly more choice on the continental side for the price point.
Great stay and would recommend.
The house was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The location is great with the centre of Bedale just a couple of minutes walk. (It's also right next to my old school, but that's irrelevant). The host was very helpful and we had all the information we needed before we arrived. Would stay again.
All good, location spot on.We travelled around the surrounding area, lovely countryside. We had our evening meal in the hotel on both evenings we were there. An excellent menu lots of choices, the breakfast was also good.Would highly recommended. We had our dog 🐶 with us and he was made most welcome .
Perfect location in the centre of the beautiful Georgian town of Bedale. On site parking. 2 minutes to the shops and a fine selection of cafes restarants and pubs.. Great selection of small shops to browse in. An ideal starting point for exploring all the Yorkshire Dales have to offer.
The room was nicely decorated and very clean. We had an evening meal which was generous and the breakfast was excellent. There was a dressing table in the room which was very handy and they had decaf Yorkshire tea on the tray as well as decaf coffee. There was a bath in the ensuite.
A little gem in the heart of bedale, fab quaint cottage with everything you need. If you've forgotten a thing or two your a stones throw away from the shop to grab it.
The cottage was clean and tidy with a lovely homely feel, definitely somewhere we would revisit ☺️
