This traditional inn is situated in the centre of a delightful town. There was no car park but there is plenty of street parking very close by. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant pleasant with excellent food. Our room was huge as was the bed and the TV. It had an old world charm but with modern facilities.

Location was great. Spacious and facilities great. Lovely kept garden area. Bedrooms had enough space and two bathrooms. Plenty of hallway space for our bikes. Kitchen had everything you needed, lots of choice. Plenty of parking.

Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get around. However if you want to stay in the same place it’s perfect for walking, bird watching and just chilling out in the garden.
Everyone is very friendly and the local borgue hotel is great for a refreshing drink and bar meal and they also welcome dogs in the bar.
A very memorable hamlet inbetween kirkudbright and gatehouse of fleet.
