Booked this on the day of stay, due to being geographically challenged.
Bev couldn't have been more accommodating. She guided us in (I should have read her detailed directions) opened the door and showed us around. The little touches left at the cottage made it feel like we had arrived at home from home. We feel like we really struck lucky. Bev guided us to the Borve hotel (10 min walk)for dinner and drinks, which was really nice too.

Absolutely wonderful!!
No more than 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal in Stornoway and in such lovely, peaceful surroundings. Ideal place for a base in which to explore the isle.
The house was immaculate and spotlessly clean. A proper home from home. Comfy beds and all got a good nights sleep.
Chris Ann, the owner of the property, was a gem.

Although compact, it had almost anything you could need. Some really nice touches, and outstanding view.
Stornoway's largest hotel, Caladh Inn is just half a mile to Stornoway Lewis Ferry Terminal and less than 3 miles from Stornoway Airport. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available.
Set within in its own attractive gardens, this modern 4-star hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of Stornoway, just across the road from the golf course leading onto historic Lews Castle...
We had room 3 which was comfortable. The furniture in our bedroom and throughout the hotel was good quality. Staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble.
I highly recommend the food there. Each dish we had was good and very tasty.
Laura served us the most, she was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were lovely.
The owner can be proud of this establishment. I highly recommend.

We most liked the house's location.
We most liked the house's location. It was well placed for getting out and about to visit tourist attractions in the north and south of the island. It was 30 minutes drive from the ferryport/main town. This clean house was well stocked with everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay. There was a garden and adequate parking for 2 cars. The house was 5 minutes walk from local village restaurants and village shop.

The setting of the property was splendid with walks from the front door. Plenty of places to visit of great interest and the scenery was magnificent. Windy every day but little rain and glorious autumnal sunshine.

A wonderful place to stay.
A wonderful place to stay. Clean, very comfortable with very friendly staff. A meal in the restaurant is certainly not to me missed and it was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also just as delicious. We will certainly be back here and would thoroughly recommend this little gem of a place!

Beautiful landscape.
Beautiful landscape. Some excellent visitor attractions in the general North Lewis area.
Surprisingly few pubs in the area, lack of places to go at night.
Teach Dhonnchadha was a nice place to visit with music on offer.
A wonderful property and facilities at the highest standard. Hot tub and sauna a real treat. Location was great to visit several key attractions on Lewis while just 30min from Stornaway. A local shop, pottery and hotel restaurant all within 5 min walk, with a walk to the sea across the Croft of another 5min. Hosts were terrific, offering a lovely welcome basket and a bottle of Prosecco. All told a truly wonderful stay and a terrific ‘get away’ spot for couples or family.

The house was amazing & exceeded my expectations. The hot tub & sauna which were located inside a shed were fantastic & meant it didn't matter if it was raining outside! My son enjoyed the table football, mini pool & darts etc also located inside the shed at the bottom of the garden. The hotel across the road was great for meals & did takeaway too.
There was a nice breakfast with a good selection. the morning staff was great. Room was large and clean, beds comfortable. Hotel is nice but thought it was expensive. If you wanted to stay on site, there was a bar and restaurant so you didn't have to leave if you didn't want to.
The chalet was very well equipped/newly furnished.
Outdoor area was beautifully maintained.
View and walk to sea was breathtaking.
Running stream nearby/sound of sea was peaceful.
Complimentary items much appreciated.
Enjoyed lovely meal in co-located Borve Hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing and comfy. Everything you need is in the chalet. The hot tub and sauna were brilliant. Shop nearby and lovely hotel you can walk to to for a relaxing drink or food. We appreciated the lovely welcome basket.
