Very nice hotel close to waterfalls and walks over the rolling green hills of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The bedroom was of a reasonable size and we enjoyed evening meals in their Palmers Restaurant. My wife liked the battered fish and chips but the fish was so large that she asked for a half or kids size portion the following evening. The Palmer's Cheeseboard was good and we had it as a starter. I had the Pan Seared Stonebass one day and the Pan Roast Chicken Supreme the next day. Good view from the restaurant window.

Staff are fantastic. Coped with our late returns and couldn't do enough to help and ensure we were fed and watered. Very busy in the main pub on bank holiday weekend, but great and welcoming atmosphere. Beds were comfy. bathroom very small, but adequate.
