It is a beautiful place located in the Peak District and close enough to get to all of the places you want within a walk or short drive. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot and it had coffee and tea provided in the room. The owners were very polite and helpful. The garden is absolutely beautiful and a lovely place to unwind.

The Merchant's Yard massively exceeded our expectations - all the basics were fully met with really nicely laid out rooms and all the details you might want (e.g. luxury toiletries, bathrobes etc). The full English breakfast was one of the nicest I've ever had ANYWHERE and the Sunday roast in the restaurant was also top quality. Service was impeccable with everyone being super friendly and helpful. However, it was the range of little extras that really took them to 10 out of 10: the named car park space, the welcome drink at the bar, the luxury bath soak. Highly highly recommend (and I spent 150 nights in hotels in 2023)
