Martyn and Louise gave us a very warm welcome and really looked after us. Their home is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed being guests there.
The breakfast was exceptional in every way. It included a selection of freshly made cakes, lovingly made by Louise. The creamy porridge, homemade granola, all the cooked dishes, all were superb.
Staying here is now such a good memory; somewhere we’d enjoy returning too.
Lovely village with interesting shops,. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Farquharsons which we rated as the best meaL of our holiday and there was a good lively atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, with friendly staff. Easy access to countryside rides.

Braemar is in Royal Deeside.
Braemar is in Royal Deeside. It is a small, picturesque village loved by walkers and tourists alike. Rightly proud of its history and royal connections.. it has lots to offer. It is the gateway to the Cairngorms, quaint local gift shops and lovely restaurants and bars. You can choose then to take the scenic route over the hills to Perth via Glenshee ( take a tour of the local gin distillery at Persie ) or take the coast road via Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory to the city of Aberdeen. We certainly enjoyed our visit and plan to return next year.

Clean, friendly with plenty of eateries and pubs.

Best food and pub for me was Moorfield House Hotel. A little tucked away but worth the effort.
Loads of walking from local strolls to mammoth Munro hikes.
The countryside and wildlife is fantastic.
I loved the location and the view. Sarah gave us a very warm welcome and a flask of fresh milk for our tea and coffee, she also had freshly baked chocolate brownies for us in our room. No evening meal so we went out to the Braemar lodge hotel and ate like kings. Had a great nights sleep and a fantastic breakfast with a view of the hills. This is a place we would come back to.
Great central location in Braemar. Lovely decor inside cottage with large spaces to relax in. The kitchen was huge and had an adjoining dining area. Showers were always hot and powerful. The garden was enclosed which would be good in the summer. Our beds were comfortable and the cottage was spotless. Great selection of books if you want to cosy up next to the fire.
Honestly…as B&Bs go, they don’t get much better. Everything about the place was so well thought out that every expectation was met. From the warm welcome, to the cleanliness of the room and comfiness of the bed to the little personal touches and the wonderful breakfast. It’s right in the centre of Braemar too! Would definitely return.
The location was ideal, just on the outstirts of Braemar, very quiet but easy walking distance of town centre.
The facilities were good, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, perfect for the morning after watching England beat Germany.
Malcolm and Stacie are great hosts. They run a set of well designed, nicely decorated, comfortable, family-friendly cabins. Their location is an easy walk from Braemar's charming center. The open design of the social area works great for a family group.
The location on the edge of the village was very handy for local pubs, shops and restaurants and only 2 minutes walking distance.
The host Malcolm could be seen occasionally but was never obtrusive.
Many thanks
Sadly 24 hours after we left, this lovey hotel burned to the ground.
Further comments would be pointless.
Best wishes and good luck to the owner Malcom and his family.
Perfect location in braemar near linn of fee. Very clean and comfortable. Every need catered for by lovely host! Would highly recommend and definitely stay again!
